A little Paso in the house tonight to keep our bison burgers company. (Pesenti continues to be one of my fav Paso vineyards.)
First half of the late season onions cured, cleaned, and ready for bagging. Spanish White to complement the Patterson onions already in storage. Accompanied by a friendly @millbrookwinery Grüner.
Bison tenderloin on the menu tonight. Starting with a Hemingway daiquiri before popping open the Williams Selyem.
Cooper’s Daughters specials—Rhubarb Sour was awesome—and regular cocktail list. Great place for evening chilling. Claverack, NY #hudsonvalleyrocks
Enjoyed this thread. I also find there’s too much effort deconstructing wine flavor and reducing the experience to a parlor game (who can get the mist obscure flavors?) that misses the point of the whole. A search algorithm based on that? Nah.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive but entirely scrumptious wine, try Lebanon. Cinsault, Grenache, Tempranillo. Big dinner hit tonight.
If you find yourself in North Creek, NY (Gore Mt), give Bar Vino a try. Great wines BTG and delicious food. Discovered the callet grape (4kilos, Mallorca) and a Chinon I loved (finally!!): Baron de la truffe “les truffières”
One of my favorite annual gardening rituals: cleaning the cured garlic. With the support of a trust Aviation.
Absolutely amazing white tonight. @campochiarenti , how do you do it??!!!??
