WIP
Been wanting to return to pin-up model style art for a while. Started working on this sporadically last evening. I'm calling it a night on this sketch.
It has been just over a year since I started trying to recover my art skill. I'm also finally able to start drawing from imagination again. At this point I'd say, I thank God that it's all back.
Another thing I'm psyched about, is that I learned 0.3mm lead exists. That drafting pencil is a recent purchase, which was like stumbling upon an enchanted item. Never knew this level of precision could come from a pencil.
G'Night folks!
Respect.

The otaku is ascendant. The age of the weeb is upon us.
Society labeled them nerds and outcasts, but now gamers and anime chuds stand as the greatest bulwark against violent threats and our civilizational enemies.
Europe is allowing itself to be conquered. Sad.
Some of the artwork that burned up last night, completely irreplaceable. xitter.cf/DrewPavlou/status/2111…

I really like the new Castlevania, but I miss the pixel art and Ayami Kojima’s art style, so here’s my take. I hope you like it! #pixelart #CastlevaniaBC
This is the latest litmus test. Anyone downplaying the significance of this event cannot be taken seriously.

Laura Freyre, a gaming industry veteran and one of the original members of the Xbox project, says Gears of War: E-Day sidelined Marcus and Dom’s hero journey by inserting Mags Carter and robbing players of what they actually wanted.
After finishing the game, she believes the team simply didn’t make it for the original Gears of War target audience.
One of my favorite movie fight scenes with both of my favorite MK fighters.

This is why the people that are telling us to "get with the times," don't get it. We experienced the foundations of the industry, and all of its breakthroughs, only to be let down by a political climate that revolves around catering to the lowest common denominator. Modern developers can only awkwardly pilot what was built for them already, but have no idea how to maintain it or improve it in any way. It's like we were driving muscle cars, and are now being told to get on the bus instead.

Remembering Tomonobu Itagaki, Team Ninja's DOA and Ninja Gaiden force, who died after a serious illness at 58 one year ago today. Sunglasses, leather, zero easy mode. So it goes.

RIP to the mighty SANJULIAN.
The art world was blessed by your presence.
I was so inspired by his paintings as a kid, and they still thrill me with the feeling of adventure, of swords and of sorcery!
A legend.
