i should specify the criticism on this app. a lot of people seem to be motivated by contrarianism instead of any actual desire to engage with the film’s themes.

99% of the criticism i’ve seen of the devils is literally just…the actual points of the movie…

the way nothing will humble you like vintage shopping and 60s/70s sizing

watching the carrie show and it’s kinda ridiculous but it cast two native actors in non-stereotypical roles so i have to somewhat support

this legend

one more plug….i just want my mutuals over here who care about basketball to talk with me there….

people who listen to justin bieber

tap in tap in tap in

industry hbo x pulp…chills down my spine….

apparently it’s her side blog??

and to be clear the devils is absolutely not above critique but this specific criticism is just so surface level and shows a lack of engagement with the film

i’m sorry this is ultra shady but her music does nothingggg for me and her whole thing just falls so flat because it’s all so obvious that it’s just the writing of someone who grew up on tumblr prose

ethel cain when she encounters transgressive religious art that goes beyond a southern gothic tumblr mood board

i get asked this all the time 😭

at a certain point it’s doing a disservice to your friend to not allow their work to stand on its own

and you have to pay for a new one every time you apply somewhere. I’M GETTING SCAMMED AND I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SEND THEM THE MONEY!

have to pay my college to send me my transcript like i didn’t pay them an exorbitant amount already to earn the grades on said transcript

the final baby blue needledrop was so perfect though

this was actually insane omg i totally forgot about this
