Rant about the A-Liga and @wswanderersfc more often than is healthy. Clearly not a sports scientist.

326 runs behind. That's the biggest first innings lead Australia have conceded (when they have bowled first) since 1984

So Mila came into the game with a niggle, Borello missed with a calf, Lual is out for months with a hamstring, and Gersbach does a hammy as well. It's round 1.

"The young lads did well today. We've been so unlucky with injuries this season they could have easily thrown in the towel" said Talay, after drafting in several of the clubs academy players to make their debuts in the final derby of the season.

Incase you missed it yesterday, an Israeli marketing firm used website ads to distribute spyware created by Israeli developer Candiru and all it took for it to infect people’s phone was visiting a website with the infected ads on it and then allowing the ad to load on the page. There are potentially hundreds of millions of people with Israeli spyware on their phones right now and they have no clue.

It may be worth considering, while watching the remainder of the Durban Test, whether Australia’s strong audiences for the red-ball game would be quite so resilient if asked to handle random scheduling, severe economic circumstances and civil unrest theage.com.au/sport/cricket/…

Mythbusting with Travis Head about Travis Head, especially about the narrative that he’s a happy go lucky whack every ball maverick. But instead a very methodical & meticulous preparer for every batting challenge cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/14…

Records come and records go. But this is one for the ages. The preliminary Nino 3.4 sea-surface temperature anomaly is now at a record 3.23°C above the 1991-2020 baseline. This crushes the previous daily record set in 1982 by over 1.14°C. The Climate 8-ball is looking up.

Yes. Ultimately these are companies that are designing malfunctioning, dangerous products akin to computer viruses, but if they convince us the products themselves are alive and have goals then they can say "Claude did it" instead of "we did it."
Replying to @jennfrey
I'm increasingly convinced that their push to make us believe that Claude is alive and free is to absolve themselves of responsibility when their "agents" do bad stuff they didn't foresee.
