What interests me about working in SAP’s Industry AI approach is the focus on the whole workflow. In maintenance, spotting a problem is only part of the job. You still need to work out the response, check parts and resources, and fit the work into the operating plan. SAP is bringing industry knowledge, business data and forward deployed engineers together to work through these problems alongside customers. The aim is to turn those solutions into software that other customers can use too. news.sap.com/2026/10/industr…

Run your robot in simulation! 🖲️ 📌 If you’re self-learning robotics, this is genuinely one to save for later. This is next chapter of @NVIDIARobotics course "Getting Started with Isaac Sim" covering everything from building your first robot to hardware-in-the-loop deployment. Today you will learn how to import, configure and... FINALLY simulate your cute robot. Quick look what's inside: → Analyze URDF Structures: Examine URDF file structure and components to identify key elements like joints and links. This forms the basis for importing and configuring robots in Isaac Sim. → Apply the URDF Importer: Use Isaac Sim's URDF Importer to successfully import and simulate robot models. Set appropriate import options to ensure accurate representation and functionality. → Design Control Systems: Create control systems using differential controllers and keyboard control interfaces, enabling dynamic movement and interaction in the simulated environment. → Evaluate Physics Behavior: Assess simulated robot physics to identify and resolve issues like excessive velocity or incorrect joint configurations, ensuring realistic interactions. → Create Simulated Environments: Develop complete environments in Isaac Sim with robot models, appropriate physics and control settings, obstacles, and sensor configurations. The module builds on previous foundations, preparing you for more advanced simulations and applications in the next module. This is NVIDIA's structured approach to lowering the Isaac Sim learning curve. Most robotics teams have existing URDF files from their robot designs. Being able to import those directly into simulation without manual rebuilding accelerates iteration significantly. See you next week! Send this to your friend that wants to learn robotics! 💚 Here's the course (it's free): docs.nvidia.com/learning/phy… ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

The world's smallest industrial robot arm Built for sub-micrometer precision. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how to control what is likely the world’s smallest and most precise industrial robot arm using custom software. The stack includes online and offline programming with simulation, an analytical kinematics solver, a singularity-aware trajectory planner, and an API layer for integration with external systems. It’s designed for applications where positioning error is measured in micrometers, not millimeters. Microelectronics, semiconductor handling, photonics alignment, medical device assembly, lab automation. When parts are tiny and tolerances are unforgiving, the control architecture matters as much as the mechanics. This is from Oleksander Stepanenko (@olekstepanenko), if you don’t follow him and his YouTube channel… no one can help you. ——- Weekly robotics and AI insights. Subscribe free: 22astronauts.com

On November 10, 1988, this grainy photo revealed a Skunk Works® secret. The F-117A Stealth fighter, later dubbed Nighthawk, had been secretly flying since 1981 and operational since 1983. It was the first combat aircraft to fully harness radar-evading stealth technology.

Elon has shown us this week what the future looks like. Robovan and robotaxis, humanoid robotics, green parks instead of parking lots, tunnels, rockets that are fully reusable and chopstick shenanigans. All of it sci-fi, but greater, and here, and incredible.
Mechazilla has caught the Super Heavy booster!

Someone selling train tickets? Nope. This is just a video screen. The actual video and audio is produced in real-time by AI.

This is from an exhibition "Moscow 2030", comparing stations from a few decades ago against the current modernisation programme. The screen shows a pre-recorded loop, no AI is involved youtube.com/watch?v=5VK71t… irecommend.ru/content/esli-k…
