Less than a year after hiring a guy for the sole purpose that he could bring players with him that would make us competitive, we chose to revert back to our warm/fuzzy feelings approach and made a continuity hire when there was no continuity to be had. We chose this.
We will improve. They put this team and staff together in 21 days. Considering that we have made progress, but UConn simply has more talent and they are well coached. They will do well this season. We’ve got to improve and get ready for Sun Belt. I think we will do better with a normal recruiting season. It was just too much to have 38 seniors and another 30 players leave for money or to play with Huff.

Releasing a statement to say you can’t actually do anything but acknowledging the wrong team won the game is something. Good work.
The FBS Oversight Committee says in a statement that "instant replay protocols were not followed in the contest’s second-to-last play" in the Western Michigan-Michigan game, and "had the protocols been followed, the outcome of the game would have been different."
FBS oversight committee says it cannot overturn the result.
