An investigation revealed that glyphosate is being sprayed in California forests at record levels by timber companies and the U.S. Forest Service. to.pbs.org/4xgOgN6
We worked with PBS Newshour on our investigation of the record amounts of glyphosate being sprayed in California’s forests
The Trump administration this week proposed opening nearly 45 million acres of national forest land to roads and logging as part of its broader push to boost timber production. The announcement comes as a yearlong investigation reveals how California forests are already being managed to grow more timber using a controversial herbicide being sprayed at record levels by timber companies and the U.S. Forest Service.
The Center for Investigative Reporting's Nate Halverson (@eWords) reports.

This sobering story from @eWords – who took a flight to observe how extensive application of Roundup in California forests is affecting the landscape – is a powerful reminder of what we have to lose if we don’t rein in pesticide corporations. motherjones.com/environment/…
I found yet another ghost written research paper by Monsanto that concluded Roundup was safe. turns out, the EPA has known about it for years, told no one, and continued to cite it as a evidence why the herbicide is safe.
SCOOP: The EPA has known for nearly a decade that an influential 2013 scientific paper that concluded glyphosate is safe was actually ghostwritten by developer Monsanto.
But the agency never informed the public and continued to rely on it, according to an EPA memo obtained by Mother Jones. motherjones.com/environment/…
