Bitcoin Core just ended long bug embargoes for flaws an AI can find with a simple prompt. Fixes now ship to every supported version, with an advisory. Developer Antoine Poinsot said the embargo "achieves little." Hiding what a chatbot finds in seconds was never going to work.

Uber just put all 30,000 employees on ChatGPT Work, OpenAI's enterprise AI agent. It started with a 1,000-person pilot this year, and 80% of those users were non-engineers in finance, ops and product. Uber hasn't said what it's paying. Office tools are becoming agents.

Ireland's central bank fined Coinbase Ireland €3.25M for safeguarding and outsourcing breaches from Nov 2020 to Aug 2025. Coinbase coding errors left a customer-funds account underfunded by an average 0.54%. Coinbase says no customer lost money. Small fine, big rulebook.
SoFi just launched SoFi Earn (SOFIE), a tokenized deposit at 4.40% APY with FDIC insurance. Each token is $1 at SoFi Bank and converts 1:1 into its SoFiUSD stablecoin to buy crypto. Rollout finishes in November. The insurance stops at the stablecoin.
China just moved to confiscate over 61,800 bitcoin the UK seized from fraudster Qian Zhimin. A Tianjin court gave victims six months to join, days after a UK court ruled Chinese law governs their claims. The scheme raised 40.38B yuan. Two courts, one stash.

Gen Z job seekers are now ghosting employers after interviews, even after being told they are the preferred candidates.
According to one HR manager, a candidate went silent after being selected for a supervisory role. After nearly two weeks of calls and messages, he explained that he had accepted another job with “a better salary and a shorter commute.”
Candidates are increasingly considering factors beyond salary, including:

Kenya's inflation hit 6.8% in September, and the CBK's farm survey says prices rise before they ease. 64% of 466 farmers and traders expect inflation up next month. 74% expect packaged milk up, 48% wheat flour, 40% maize flour. Fuel and drought set prices, rains must fix it.
