marfa weekend may have been started by, and be on its face an artblocks event, but it’s far more diverse and richer than just generative art
at the likes of nyc or miami, events are scattered and disjointed, imposing travel and time. you often miss people, yell over loud music and compete with non-participating locals. experiences can be larger scale, but energy and monetary costs can stack up as a producer or attendee biggly
in marfa, digital and physical art becomes an intimate walkable playground, where fewer venues in proximity support foot traffic. artists can take more chances and experiment with lower costs in the desert wilds. also the journey imposition lends to less memecoin or circlejerk scammer attendance

Helping @thisismycrypto3 with this activation last year at @artblocks_io Marfa was so much fun, getting to interact with over 241 attendees turning them into Flowers made it a hectic weekend but one I'll never forget. Can't wait to run it back this year with a new activation!
