Watching the Brewers is amazing, but it also makes me a little sad because I want the Braves to be Mil with more money. And for a little while we were.
Murphy and a lower prospect for Keller and Henry Davis is the move. Davis does everything Murphy does, just way cheaper, and Keller isn't great, but the stuff is there. Maybe getting him with Hefner (and dropping 2-3 pitches) can get him to be that high 3's guy
Trade Proposal by Maria Aldrich on Heavy.com:
Braves Get: 3B Ryan McMahon
Yankees Get: C Sean Murphy
McMahon is owed $16M in 2027. Murphy has $15M the next two seasons with a $15M club option in 2029.
Ok, Ritchie + AJSS + Gil for Bibee and Kwan.
Steven Kwan will be entering the final year of his contract in 2027, and folks around the league are monitoring him as a potential trade candidate this winter. fansided.com/mlb/mlb-insider…
Random 3 AM trade proposals:
1. JR Ritchie + Owen Murphy for Tanner Bibee - fair chance that it would have to be AJSS + Ritchie
2. Sean Murphy + Dixon Williams for Mitch Keller and Henry Davis
3. John Gil + Patrick Clohisy for Nick Lodolo
Genuine Villain. Albert Haynesworth of baseball. Honestly it's a good thing the owners are focused on the salary cap instead of guaranteed contracts, because this man straight up stole nearly 300m dollars
If you're able to find a taker for Riley and his contract I would gladly take Paredes.
The Astros are expected to put Isaac Paredes and Christian Walker in trade discussions due to Carlos Correa’s pending return, per @Chandler_Rome

No matter how much you love Murph (or just don't want to admit it was a bust of a trade), this is objectively correct. Defensive catchers are a dime a dozen, and Murph isn't the elite defensive catcher he was thanks to the hip. That 15m needs to be spent elsewhere
Hmm. Not exactly great look for our boys, but I'm confident in a number of them being better than this would indicate

Nobody wants a singles merchant as their DH.
Hey #Braves fans… what do you think about the Braves signing Luis Arraez to be the DH? He’s a career .316 hitter, three-time batting champion, and does not seem to try and hit home runs. He's not the best fielder in the world, so you could just tell him to go hit.
