Reminder: auto-neg only works if BOTH sides are set to auto. Resist temptation to set one side to Full - the other will use Half duplex.

To do #AIX bespoke rc.local script you can create your own and fire it off from inittab. Or you can use /etc/rc script. Its already there
Good practice I think on #AIX to run slibclean, prior to applying patches/upgrades to application software. To remove any unused modules

View all VGs/LVs in one hit: lsvg |lsvg -il
List f/s in VG: lsvgfs <VG>

AIX 7.2 requires POWER7 or higher but should run "unsupported" on POWER6, right? ... NOPE=exit to firwware prompt
you update your #AIX disk drivers. It may require a rmdev -dl hdiskX after you exportvg. Gives me a buzz that does.
On #AIX need to know what factor size is on a non-scalable VG, select a hdisk in the VG:readvgda <hdiskx>|grep factor
