Elon Musk flips a vehicle upside down and everyone claps and cheers. But when I do it, suddenly I'm "recklessly endangering children" and "unfit to be a school bus driver".

I would love to see a startup target moving the needle on these. NO, NOT PLAYING VIDEO GAMES.

After an hour and twenty minutes of @united chat, they conclude that I have to call and wait on hold because they can't help me on chat.

Yes you probably should be supplementing with creatine monohydrate
This new creatine study is insane. People who never trained took 10g of creatine a day and gained more lean tissue (2.43 lbs) than people who were lifting 3x a week with no creatine (0.31 lbs). Here's the breakdown: (1/18)
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The lean tissue gains in the no-exercise creatine group were measured by DXA body scans which creatine affects by increasing intracellular water that registers as lean mass. The decision to exercise or not was self-selected by participants not randomized. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC13… medicalnewstoday.com/articles/creat…

Pushed my Dell windows dev laptop so hard doing parallelized build and test of my software that it literally became unbootable until given a day to cool off and hard reset 😂

In case you were unaware: yes your cables are computers that run code and receive firmware updates
This went under the radar, but earlier this week, Apple released USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable (2m) Firmware 3.2.0 The last firmware update for this cable was over 3 years ago

My son was practicing his Chinese character recognition and we got sick of using Quizlet (ads, awkward logins, etc) so just built our own for him to use to practice. This kind of parent-driven ed-tech is going to be very interesting to help accelerate learning. Using AI to reduce study time is harmful. Using it to make a fixed period of studying more effective is awesome.

Downside of sophisticated models; sometimes they want to build an overengineered enterprise class quantum compute resistant hardened staging-and-deploy infra for the silly training app you are making for your 9yo.

This is the investor energy you want
Worst part of moving from operator to investor is saying no. I remember every no I got 26 years ago (including one investor falling asleep during my pitch!). It kills me to say no and I really actually mean it when I say I want you to crush it. Im guilty of doing pro bono work for plenty of folks we didn’t invest in. I wish I could invest in much more!!!!

Take a moment. This is a a call from one of the better specialist programmers on Earth and an advisor to Stripe.
Sometime in the last ~two model releases from the big labs they went from “this would be acceptable output from the median low-seniority coworker” to “this is frighteningly good.” I think people who are not daily users of the models are unlikely to grok that, so, saying it.

Dual use is the way
It won’t make sense to have separate robots for household chores and home defense
