I spoke about this with someone and I don’t think it’s a flex, it’s more irritating if anything you’re going out of your way to undermine your work and honestly insult yourself.
As a designer you are a creator, you are not an executor, you can but you are a creator FIRST

AI is a tool. You can use it to think for you. Or you can use it to learn and try things you wouldn't have attempted before.
I tell everyone at Figma: we hired you because you can think. We expect you to think. Don't outsource your thinking to AI.
Social media is not reality. Things are never as good or bad as they seem. Seeing things as they are and seeking truth are skills to develop.
Curiosity must be cultivated. Pulling the level of a slop/slot machine can be weirdly exhausting and depleting. It can be hard and even anxiety inducing to step away when things are moving so fast, but time away from the computer is a must right now.
@zoink how do you keep your independent thinking in this tsunami of tech-bro-ai gloom and doom?

Protecting Every Vote. Winning 2027. Together.
My fellow Nigerians at home and abroad,
Over the past months, wherever I go and in your many messages, two questions keep coming up: How will our votes be protected in 2027? And how will we win?
These are fair questions, and you deserve direct answers.
This Sunday, I will answer you directly, and more importantly, listen to you. I will join you for A New Nigeria Global Digital Townhall. We will speak plainly about protecting every vote and the path to victory.
But this is not only about speaking to you. It is about listening to you. I want to hear your concerns, your insights and your strategies. This movement has always been built by you, and your ideas will shape what we do next.

If you’re confused about what to work on or how to get noticed, go to YC and look through the latest FALL batch.
You’ll find hundreds of startups, and a lot of their websites were built quickly with AI or vibe coding.
Redesign the website. Don’t just make it prettier. Explain the problem you noticed and how your redesign solves it.
The founder’s profile is right there too. Tag them when you post it.
You don’t always need to wait for an opportunity.
Sometimes you can find the problem, solve it, and put the work where people can see it.
xitter.cf/akinayoUI/status/21051…
September has been a busy one.
Secured 3 website projects
Worked on a YC startup website
Redesigned a website for an AI product
Collaborated with a friend on another website
Worked on a full mobile app from end to end
A lot of designing, thinking, refining, and shipping.
Grateful for the work and the people who trusted me with their products.
Either way… we’re still open for more projects.

Can't wait to be debt free. Everyday I wonder how Macaroni was all those millions in the negative and could still think straight.
