On a side note this meme perfectly illustrates Gurdjieff’s analogy of the 2 streams of life. They are both right in their own way.
The story goes that in the first stream, which is a metaphor for the unconscious world, the stream is taking you downstream towards death. This is the stream that we are born in and it’s a struggle to escape. However with enough effort in the right way, one can create enough momentum to eventually jump streams like a fish into the 2nd stream.
This stream leads to life instead of death. It does not require a struggle, one has to simply follow the light of their conscience. The whole problem lies in first understanding that one is in the wrong stream and making the adjustments to move out of it.
Carl Jung roughly said that outside influences will impose themselves upon us and we will call this fate. However this is just the fate of the 1st stream. It speaks to how our personality is attached to habitual reactions due to previous conditioning. This habitual behavior imposes a certain fate on us until we make the right kind of effort to break the pattern a choose a new pattern with a new fate.

We're only halfway through OSA implementation, next year for example OFCOM can:
-Require companies to provide any info about their algorithms
-Access internal documents, data, technical infrastructure, and source codes to perform its 'regulatory functions'.
OFCOM will have the right to enter premises to review all this as well as the powers to send named officers to jail. IDK why anyone would want to set up a tech company in Britain

My cartoon for this week’s @GuardianBooks

ALT Image: A small, pretty English village. A girl with a bag on her shoulder runs towards a van on the other side of the village green. She says to herself "I've got to follow my heart and leave this sleepy village behind. A new life awaits on the open road, touring from town to town in a merry band of brilliant eccentrics!" Title: “Rebecca runs away to join the travelling library”

Well that's odd. 24 hours ago The Westmorland Gazette posted a story about swimmers getting sick while taking part in the Great North Swim on Windermere. Apparently sewage was being dumped into the lake at the time.
1 day later the article has disappeared from their website.
I'm sure there's a perfectly innocent explanation. 🤔

Hi, @Stripe. Are we still doing this de-banking thing? Was it something I said?
If we say that men can’t be women, if we donate to pro-life charities, if we oppose two men buying eggs, renting wombs, and commoditizing babies…
Does that come at the cost of de-banking?

Wes Streeting took £224,575 in donations from people and companies linked to the private health sector between Jan 2023-2025. 🚨🚨🚨
I find that unconscionable. RT if you agree!

"Water firm warns of possible hosepipe ban."
So here's a prediction for you, unless there is biblical amounts of rain over the next few weeks by the end of August most of England will be operating under a hose pipe ban. Severn Trent, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Souther Water et al.
And while that's going on remember this this, they've taken £84 billion of our money out of those companies, saddled them with £74 billion in debt and in return we can't even turn our taps on.
