Proof that a man has found Christ is that he completely abandons self-exaltation and becomes louder in proclaiming Christ. The one who speaks, defends, flaunts, boasts and celebrates self over Christ has likely not found the true Christ.

When Jesus is recognised as the greatest treasure a man can possess, it will be easy to forfeit everything else to please and obey Him. Again, Jesus is too cheap to many professing Christians. We can easily betray Him for less than 30 pieces of silver, We can easily exchange Him for a porridge of pleasure. Our valuation of Jesus is clearly seen by what we are willing to keep at the expense of grieving Christ.

Jesus is so precious, gracious, and so glorious that everyone will eventually feel foolish for having any other obsession in their lifetime!
