🚨A New Orleans cop made “KISSY NOISES” to check a family’s yard for dogs... then fired THREE SHOTS into a 16-WEEK-OLD PUPPY who ran up to him WAGGING HIS TAIL... ...and even though a JURY found he VIOLATED that family’s rights, he got QUALIFIED IMMUNITY!!!! Yes, you read that right. A jury said what he did was unreasonable, and he still walked. The puppies name was Apollo, he was a 16-week-old rescue puppy. On April 10th, 2021, neighbors called police over an argument at Derek Brown and Julia Barecki-Brown’s home. Officer Derrick Burmaster showed up, in his own words, he made “kissy noises” to see if there was a dog behind the fence. When he heard a bark, he DREW HIS GUN. His partner tapped him on the shoulder to signal they should leave the yard. The partner walked back out the gate. Burmaster stayed, Apollo ran toward him and according to the court record, Apollo never barked, growled, jumped, bared his teeth, or lunged. Burmaster covered his crotch with one hand and fired THREE TIMES with the other. Julia ran out screaming, “How could you sh00t a puppy?” Apollo D*ED in his family’s arms. ...this wasn’t the first time he did it either Police records show Burmaster fatally SH0T another dog back in 2012. NOPD’s own investigators said Apollo posed NO threat. They noted he never considered his Taser or just not sh00ting the dog. Multiple internal reviews called the shooting “UNJUSTIFIED.” Then the family sued... and in July 2023, department leadership CLEARED HIM of wrongdoing. In June 2025, a federal jury found he acted in an “objectively unreasonable manner" and that same jury handed him QUALIFIED IMMUNITY. The family appealed. On July 14th of 2026, the Fifth Circuit AFFIRMED it. The bodycam footage CLEARLY shows this was unjustified... WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE?!!!!!!

Update on my Babydoll. Man I hope this encourages someone in the battle today. Thank you isn’t enough to all of you that have been praying for us. No greater gift you can give someone. Her oncologist called me Friday during our HS football game. He left a voicemail that said this, Um, the results came back stunning. Like, no tumor. I mean, it's, it's, we don't completely understand it. But give me a call and I'll explain what we think maybe going on and tell you how we resume. He doesn’t understand, but we do… GOD and PRAYER!!!! Thank you for faithfully praying! WHAT A GOD!!❤️🙌🏻

🚨 TAIWAN'S STOCK MARKET IS SO INSANELY HOT THAT FUND MANAGERS ARE QUITTING THEIR JOBS TO TRADE THEIR OWN MONEY. Taiwan's stock market has surged 62% this year, making it the best-performing major market in the world. Nearly 10% of its listed stocks have already doubled in value. But professional fund managers aren't allowed to buy individual stocks in their personal accounts. So they're quitting their jobs and moving to private trading firms and hedge funds where they can trade with fewer restrictions. One 30 year old analyst reportedly quit in March and grew his personal portfolio more than 10X. And this is becoming a serious problem for Taiwan's asset management industry. • More than half of Taiwan's 20 largest equity funds have changed managers in the past 3 years. • Some private trading firms now trade over NT$10 BILLION per month, similar to mid-sized asset managers. • Fund managers who stay reportedly have to lock away their phones, laptops and smartwatches during trading hours. Taiwan's financial regulator is now reviewing these restrictions as more professionals leave traditional fund management to trade for themselves.
