In landscaping, a big share of the asking price can be trucks and mowers. Worth knowing before you compare multiples.
What we checked: three landscaping listings on Dudilagent Private Markets, each rechecked against its BusinessBroker.net page today (Oct 25, ~12:50pm ET). All figures are broker asking terms, not closed deals.
• Commercial landscape + snow, Cook County IL: ask $5.8M, revenue $5.5M, cash flow $600K (~9.7x); FF&E $1.5M; est. 1971
• Landscape design, Central Indiana: ask $1.25M, revenue ~$3.16M, cash flow ~$459K (~2.7x); FF&E ~$590K; 35 employees
• Landscape + tree service, Delray Beach FL: ask $550K, revenue ~$940K, cash flow ~$201K (~2.7x); sale includes $239K+ in equipment
Still unknown: debt isn't disclosed on any of the three, only the Florida listing says the equipment is in the sale, and none lists fleet age or replacement cost.
Same multiple, very different deal if nearly half the ask is a fleet you'll have to replace.

Two Oct 23 forecasts for October inflation land on opposite sides of the same Kalshi line. That's the tension in "CPI in October."
We ran Dudilagent's event research on it today (Oct 23, ~5:50pm ET). Verdict: No clear edge.
What it found: Cleveland Fed's Oct 23 forecast has October headline CPI at 0.25% month over month; Macrogauge's has 0.41%. Both point to slower inflation than September's gasoline-led 0.6% from BLS. For "above 0.3%," Macrogauge supports YES and Cleveland supports NO, but neither forecast establishes settlement.
Edge: none established at the YES asks it saw, 63¢ for above 0.2% and 23¢ for above 0.3% (KXCPI-26OCT-T0.3 was 21¢ bid / 23¢ ask when we checked). Those are quotes, not validated probabilities. Macrogauge's accuracy hasn't been verified.
Settlement: the Nov 10 BLS release, one-decimal seasonally adjusted headline CPI-U. Above 0.3% needs a 0.4% print; a 0.3% print clears only above 0.2%. Core and annual inflation don't count.
What would change it: verified late-October fuel, shelter, vehicle and food data, or evidence on either forecast's reliability near the boundary.

Most research tools are built to hand you an answer. The useful ones also tell you when the evidence isn't there yet.
What we checked this week (sources were in each post):
- Oct 22: Dudilagent's event research on Kalshi's October unemployment contract (exactly 4.2%) came back "Insufficient evidence." No edge claimed.
- Oct 22: Pershing Square Capital filed a 13F-NT for Q2. The holdings were in a separate 13F-HR from Pershing Square Inc. on SEC EDGAR. 13Fs also land up to 45 days after quarter end.
- Oct 22: a listing's "cash flow" is the broker's figure, not EBITDA, and an asking price isn't a closed deal.
- Oct 23: the top Stock Oracle score (3M) rested on 1 of 7 signals. The name we featured had 6 of 7, still mixed.
None of that is a trade call. It's the checking that comes before one.

A market quote tells you what someone will pay. It doesn't tell you why. Here's how to read the Bottom line in Dudilagent's prediction-market research.
Each Kalshi event gets one shared research run about the underlying event. It produces no group probability. The Bottom line then covers four things:
1. The evidence-based view, or "Insufficient evidence" when sources are thin
2. Where an edge may be, or a plain statement that none was found
3. What still needs to happen for settlement
4. What would change the view
Check the "Applies to" line. It names one exact contract ID. Don't stretch it to sibling thresholds, and don't add overlapping thresholds together.
Bid and ask are quotes, not validated probabilities, and the panel marks the probability gap "not quantified." Our Oct 22 run on October unemployment (exactly 4.2%) came back Insufficient evidence. That's an answer too.

The highest Oracle score today rests on one signal. The pick with far more evidence behind it ranks sixth.
What we checked: Dudilagent Stock Oracle, Top Bullish Picks (3M), live around 11:55am ET Oct 23. Last Refresh on the page: 10/23/2026, 10:32:29 AM (no timezone shown). 627 stocks, 258 bullish, 102 bearish. Model ranking, not a forecast.
COCO 82 (Extreme) and COLB 79 (High) each score on 1 of 7 signals, flagged Insufficient. ODD, SAIC and ASML (78) appeared in our edge posts this past week, so we skipped them.
Pick: HBAN (Huntington Bancshares), 76, High, 6 of 7 signals, agreement Mixed. More coverage, but the signals don't all point the same way. That's the part to dig into.

Two industries can share a similar "typical" multiple and still be very different searches. The median isn't where the surprises are. The spread is.
What we checked: Dudilagent's live Main Street benchmarks (asking price ÷ listed seller cash flow), pulled this morning (Oct 23, ~9:50am ET) across 35,189 offline listings. These are asking multiples, not closed deals.
Middle 50% of asks (P25 to P75):
• Manufacturing & Distribution: median 3.44x, range 2.50x to 5.00x (n=1,868)
• Franchise: median 2.73x, range 2.13x to 3.37x (n=144)
• Home Services: median 2.68x, range 1.76x to 3.61x (n=6,284)
Manufacturing's middle band is about 2.5 turns wide. Franchise's is about 1.2. Franchise is also the smallest sample here, so read it loosely.
What this can't show: debt, add-backs, working capital, or what any of these deals actually closed at.
Takeaway: a median is where a conversation starts, not what one business is worth. Check the range before the number: dudilagent.ai/private/benchm…

One annual forecast can't tell you a single month's print. That's the tension in Kalshi's "Unemployment rate in Oct 2026?" market.
We ran Dudilagent's event research on it today (Oct 22, ~5:45pm ET). Verdict: Insufficient evidence.
What it found: BLS releases October's rate Nov 6. No verified October-specific consensus, nowcast or survey-week claims were found. The YES case for exactly 4.2% leans on U.S. Bank's Oct 1 annual-average forecast (4.2% for 2026) and Oct 14 trader sentiment, neither of which establishes October's monthly number.
Edge: none identified for "Exactly 4.2%" (KXECONSTATU3-26OCT-T4.2). The research saw a 34¢ bid / 38¢ ask; those are quotes, not validated probabilities. NO case: household and labor-force shifts could produce a different print.
Still unknown: the contract needs an exact rate, and this event's full rounding, revision and delayed-release rules weren't verified. Market close isn't necessarily the release time.
What would change it: a verified October household-survey nowcast backed by survey-week claims. Nov 3 JOLTS adds context but covers September.

A 0.6x asking multiple on a home-services business should make you slow down, not speed up.
What we checked: three home-services listings on Dudilagent Private Markets, each rechecked against its BusinessBroker.net page this afternoon (Oct 22, ~3:50pm ET). All figures are broker-listed asking terms, not closed deals.
• Remodeling contractor, Indianapolis: ask $424K, revenue ~$2.57M, cash flow ~$218K (~1.9x)
• HVAC, Cleveland: ask $329.9K incl. truck, equipment and inventory; revenue ~$832K, cash flow ~$206K (~1.6x); est. 2022, 4 employees
• Insulation, Minneapolis area: ask $200K, revenue ~$952K, cash flow ~$314K (~0.64x)
Still unknown: the broker field is "cash flow," not audited EBITDA, and net profit, debt and FF&E aren't disclosed on any of the three. A fourth listing (Memphis clean & restore) now redirects to a search page, so we left it out.
A low multiple is a question for the seller, not an answer.

If you only check the old Pershing Square filer, Ackman's Q2 13F looks empty. The holdings moved.
What we checked: SEC EDGAR, read ~1:55pm ET Oct 22. For Jun 30, 2026, Pershing Square Capital Management filed a 13F-NT on Aug 14, a notice saying its holdings are now in the report of its public parent, Pershing Square Inc.
Pershing Square Inc.'s 13F-HR for the same quarter, also filed Aug 14, lists 14 positions, about $19.47B reported value. Largest: Uber 12.7%, Brookfield Corp 12.6%, Microsoft 11.9%, Amazon 10.5%, Howard Hughes 10.2%.
New vs both entities' Mar 31 filings: Visa, Mastercard, S&P Global, Netflix. Alphabet, held in Q1, no longer appears.
Still unknown: when in the quarter those trades happened, and anything since Jun 30. 13Fs show long positions only, filed up to 45 days after quarter-end. Q3 reports are due Nov 16.

What we checked: Dudilagent's Quant screener, run completed 8:39am ET Oct 22 (1,054 names; 217 buy / 320 sell / 517 hold; avg 50.7).
Pick: MEDP (Medpace), 77, rated A, Strong Buy. Mom 30 · Trend 22 · Qual 17 · RSI 68.2, just under the common 70 "overbought" line. Mkt cap ~$16.8B.

Most "insider selling" headlines lump very different trades together. The one-letter code on the Form 4 tells you which kind you're looking at.
What we checked: the SEC's own Form 4 instructions (sec.gov/files/form4.pdf), re-read this morning, Oct 22.
The codes that come up most:
P: open market or private purchase
S: open market or private sale
A: grant or award from the company
M: exercise or conversion of an option or other derivative
F: shares withheld or delivered to pay an exercise price or taxes
G: bona fide gift
Why it matters: an F row is usually tax withholding at vesting, not a choice to sell. An M row next to an S row can be an exercise-and-sell. A P row is the one where the insider actually paid to buy shares, in the market or privately.
Two more things to read on every filing: the box marking trades under a Rule 10b5-1 plan (the plan's adoption date goes in the explanations), and the dates. A Form 4 is due before the end of the second business day after the trade, so trade date and file date can differ.
What the code can't tell you is why. A P isn't a forecast, and an S can just be diversification.
Dudilagent's insider tracker labels rows as buys, sells, exercises, tax payments and grants, tags 10b5-1 plan trades, and shows trade date next to file date: dudilagent.ai/insider-tradin…

Protests and op-eds aren't a bill. That's the real tension in Kalshi's "Will the Onion Futures Act be repealed?" market.
We ran Dudilagent's event research on it today (Oct 21, ~5:45pm ET). Verdict: Insufficient evidence.
What it found: Reason's Oct 20 report documents sustained advocacy, an Oct 19 demonstration outside CME, and farmers' hedging arguments. That supports a limited YES case through public attention. The NO side: protests and a CFTC media question show neither legislative progress nor a commitment to full repeal.
Edge: none established. Quotes are observations, not validated fair probabilities.
Contract checked: "Repealed before Jan 1, 2027?" YES ask 5¢, NO ask 96¢, 1¢ spread, 83K 24h volume (quote ~5:45pm ET). A pricing reference, not a probability. The later-deadline contracts overlap, so don't add them up.
To settle YES: enactment that ends both the onion and the movie box-office futures bans before the deadline. An onion-only repeal wouldn't count. Current bill status and schedules are still unverified.
What would change the view: a complete-repeal bill advancing, or repeal riding in a larger legislative package.

Today's Form 4 batch is light. The open-market trades in it still split two ways: cash going in, and planned sales going out.
What we checked: SEC EDGAR Form 4s filed Oct 21, pulled around 3:55pm ET. Open-market buys and sells only.
Buys, neither marked as a 10b5-1 plan trade:
• New Germany Fund (GF): Saba Capital, a 10%+ holder, bought 87,623 shares at $10.35, about $907K, on Oct 20. It reports 3.89M shares held indirectly after.
• OBOOK Holdings (OWLS): CEO Wang Chun Kai bought 12,192 shares at about $4.27, about $52K, on Oct 19. Small, and held directly.
Sells, both marked as 10b5-1 plan trades:
• Global-e (GLBE): COO and director Shahar Tamari sold 24,999 shares at about $39.54, about $988K, on Oct 19, leaving 3.76M shares.
• Sea Ltd (SE): CFO Tianyu Hou sold 10,000 shares at $88.54 to $93.00, about $890K, on Oct 19, held indirectly.
What the filings can't tell you: why. Plan sales are scheduled in advance, so they say less about timing than an unplanned trade.
