This is everywhere I go now. Farmers markets. Restaurants. Malls. They take up all the seating and loiter and do not skip anything in their algorithm. The chicken dance loops to Savanah bananas highlights. Hydraulic press of a football. An orange getting cheated on by a cherry. We need camps.
The times I've upgraded ram are like a decade apart. Went from 8gb ddr3, 16gb ddr4, and currently 32gb ddr4. I feel no need to go for DDR5 since my 5800X3D is already significantly faster than the PS5 Pro's CPU
I had a friend switch from console gaming to PC and then switched back simply because he got fed up with the constant driver updates/RAM upgrades/optimization to simply just kick back and play the games he enjoyed.
PC is better in a lot of ways, but console is easier.

GPU driver updates are not constant and usually optional if a system is stable; they are mainly for new games, bugs, or security. RAM upgrades are infrequent after a PC build and not a routine requirement.

The people using PC prices as the reason are the same ones that would've been been constantly procrastinating every year about building a PC. Even if the prices were to drop they'd still be on the fence to the idea of buying a PC because they think they need 64gb RAM and a flagship GPU.
I need PC gamers to at least acknowledge that ONE COMPONENT in your build is already a Switch 2 and a couple of games.
Not everyone’s got a few grand laying around for a build, speaking as someone who’s just built two of these things for me and the wife.

This compares a premium high-end RX 9070 XT GPU (~$780 retail, MSRP $599) to the full $500 Nintendo Switch 2 console price. Capable entry/mid-range gaming PCs use far cheaper GPUs and total similar or lower costs than high-end console setups.

Yeah, it used an AI powered program they wrote, trained on libraries THEY made specifically for it to aid with a very tedious part of animating. It's not generative AI. When will people learn that the problem is generative AI and not AI-powered/assisted tools?
It sounds like a conspiracy theory, but "California gas is expensive because of a failed high-speed rail project" is 100% real.
Almost half of ALL GAS TAXES go to funding the high speed rail project that hasn't delivered a single functional piece of rail in the last 11 years.
Great explanation of why California gas prices are higher than in other states, in the @sfchronicle of all places.
26¢/gallon goes to "cap-and-invest" which funds high-speed rail.
