Kizaru having to kill Vegapunk is such beautiful writing on so many levels, but I also love that, because Egghead is surrounded by a forcefield that only Kizaru can get through (because it's was developed based on his powers), Kizaru is literally the only one for the job.
I think saying that Borsalino murdered his best friend for the government really doesn't illustrate the severity of the facts he raised a child with that guy bro

I think the pretty simple and succinct explanation for why Oda seems to have extremely pro queer political messaging while also drawing offensive portrayals is: Oda thinks queer people are weird, but he thinks being weird is good “Freak” is an almost righteous category to him

Wow, for the first time ever, I get to say: this blew up.
The question of how the Okama are portrayed always misses one fundamental aspect of Kamabakka Kingdom: Iva has the Hormone Fruit. We've seen Iva change people's appearance freely. There's something very intentional in Oda making sure you understand their appearance is a choice.

it’s so funny that at the end of veilguard act 1 you choose between saving a district of the capital of an empire ruled by mages with a fuckass palace that shoots projectiles or an occupied merchant water city and then get hit with “uh oh there was no right answer!” BUT THERE WAS

Asking to work remote is a huge imposition. As soon as one member of your team is remote the dynamic has shifted and you become less cohesive. A great many problems that exist over chat and phone disappear when everyone is in one room with desks in shouting distance.

One of the reasons we are where we are is that the Democrats got used to having progressive and minority coalition partners sacrificing themselves for the bare minimum, and now that they do not do the bare minimum, they refuse to understand why that that is no longer the case.
if we r a small enough voting bloc to be thrown out like this by the dems, then this discussion doesnt matter and we shouldnt be browbeat for voting w/ our interests. if we r large enough to throw an election by our non-participation, then perhaps the dems should support us?

And building on this framework, we get an incredible reveal: Luffy was not a man with the power of rubber. He was a man with a very limited iteration of the power to be a literal cartoon character. And now that power is awake.

what's interesting about this discussion is that the pro-remote crowd isn't trying to force people out of the office but the reverse is not true
My strongest “vibes not evidence” belief is that remote work is a cancer that’s making (most) people miserable even though it seems better in the short term.
