We built a new portal to submit your plugin, track review, and see usage.
Plugins package MCP and skills, and are becoming the way to build for Claude. MCP usage across Claude products is up 110x this year!

if you've built an mcp server that became a connector in the claude directory, tobin was the human on the other side. he's now building slick tooling for developers submitting plugins to the directory. ask him stuff! bonus points if you trigger his australian sarcasm
I rarely post about our model launches, but I truly enjoy Claude 5.5 and I am really glad it is finally available to everyone. It communicates more clearly, is much more concise and is a very capable model, all of it while being much cheaper. I found myself using it quite a lot.

Not only because of the great talks and crowds - but because of real excitement about what's coming next for MCP and cool ways that we can wire things together.

Just coming back from a week of AgentCon/MCPCon in Amsterdam. One of the highlights was the MCP maintainer get together. We were discussing extensions, SDKs, progressive discovery and much much more. Really stoked for what it’s to come.

Auth makes *everything* harder, this is why MCPs exist 😅
Slack API is painfully slow and rate-limited. It clearly wasn’t built for agents.
Last night I asked Codex/Astra to search a huge Slack channel. My auth broke, so instead of using the API, it just used computer use.
I watched it scroll through Slack quickly, faster than API.
AI won’t wait for APIs, maybe.

MCP today is a massive improvement over where it started, at least on the protocol level.
I was not expecting things to go this way, but I think MCPs are better than CLIs for most integrations.
The models have gotten much better at tool calling, we can defer tools & MCP is now stateless.
If you need to compose/filter data, add params like query to your MCP tools.
