NIRVANNA: THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE (2026). I don’t want to be an asshole and say I wasn’t expecting much—but I certainly wasn’t prepared for how funny this is. There’s a joke involving time travel and “The Hangover” that had me laughing for about a half hour.

Hoof hearted? Ice melted.
THIS Saturday at @thebottomlounge. Playing with some of my favorite people in support of one of my favorite cities. Be there!

Chicago's death pose have released a beautiful tribute to fallen guitarist and founding member, Jeff Ulbrich, who passed away one year ago today.
Featuring @LocalH’s, Scott Lucas, on guest vocals, "Unresolved (A Song for Jeff)" is now available deathpose.bandcamp.com/album…

SPINAL TAP 2: THE END CONTINUES (2025). Even if it were the worst comedy sequel ever made (and it’s not), Trump would STILL be a soulless clot of rat smegma rotting on some incel’s dick while they both seethe with jealousy …

Next Wednesday at @GmanTavern. My pal @selenafragassi will be there with her new book about Pearl Jam (that I wrote the forward for) and discussing it with my other pal @Jillhopkins. Not sure what I’ll be doing—but I’ll be doing something. Free with RSVP.

I’ve been trying all summer to set up retro-style screenings of LIFERS at the drive-in
— and finally, it’s happening.
TOMORROW at the Chi-Town Drive-In in Chicago: The Richard Linklater inspired LIFERS plays with DAZED & CONFUSED.
DAZED is at 10pm.
LIFERS is at midnight.
Next SUNDAY at Harvest Moon Drive-in @harvestmoonDI in Gibson City: LIFERS plays with one of my favorite drive-in movies of all time — PHANTASM.
The first feature (LIFERS) starts at 8:10pm.
Tickets will be available at the gate or through the venue website. I WILL be there!
This Saturday — LIFERS returns to Chicago for a special midnight screening at the CHITOWN DRIVE-IN.
Even better: Show up at 10 and make it a double feature with DAZED & CONFUSED. Pretty good use of a drive-in screen, I’d say.
