Social media catch-up: 
A tough 2026 Berlin Marathon for our team. After holding 2:05 to 2:06 pace through 35 km, Abel Kipchumba faded to finish 21st in 2:09:19. Manon Trapp also recorded a DNF at the half marathon mark. 
Felix Kurui recorded a DNF at 15 km following a medical emergency. He was hospitalised, treated and discharged on 2 October. Athlete health remains the priority, and we are grateful that Felix received the care he needed. 
On a positive note, there were important contributions from our pacing team: Clinton Ktum paced the 2:05 group through 31 km, while Stanley Kurgat paced the 2:07 group through 30 km. A difficult race day, but one that also reflected the professionalism, commitment and teamwork across our programme.

Fantastic close to the 2026 season for Tayla Kavanagh at the Brasov 10K: 30:50, an outright South African NR in the women’s-only race, achieved without a dedicated pacemaker for Tayla. Grit and grind from start to finish, with 15:28 followed by 15:22 5K splits as Tayla chased the field down. Fifth today, fourth in Copenhagen, and international podiums getting closer and closer. A powerful performance and another clear marker of Tayla’s progression on the international stage.
