Study protocol for a multicentre, randomised, open-label phase II trial in Australian tertiary cancer centres (AVATAR-II) STUDY PROTOCOL AVATAR-II is a multicentre phase II trial evaluating whether stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) can delay treatment failure in patients with ER-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer experiencing oligoprogression on endocrine therapy and CDK4/6 inhibitors. ➡️ Seventy-four patients with 1–5 extracranial progressing sites will be randomised to SABR plus continued systemic therapy or physician’s choice of systemic therapy.
