Yesterday we welcomed Michael Beckner as OSUPD’s new chief! We’re glad to have you as part of the #CowboyFamily, Chief Beckner!
Thank you to retired OSUPD Chief Leon Jones for his 30 years of service at #okstate – we’re grateful for the impact you’ve had on countless lives.
I’m deeply saddened by the tragic loss of OSU alumna Lindsey Fields. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and all those affected.
Among the victims of this week’s tragic plane crash in Washington D.C. was one of our own.
On behalf of the entire @okstate community, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of OSU alumna and former university employee Lindsey (Carter) Fields, as well as to all those affected by this devastating event. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
As we mourn this profound loss, we are reminded of the strength and unity that define the Cowboy family. In times of tragedy, we come together to support one another, honoring the memories of those we have lost.
To Lindsey’s family, please know that the OSU family stands with you and offers our support and deepest sympathies.
Dr. Ann Caine

It’s a new year and a new semester for the #CowboyFamily! Study hard and seize the opportunities that come your way, Cowboys!
Oklahoma has lost a tremendous leader with the passing of Neal McCaleb.
An OSU civil engineering graduate and Chickasaw citizen, Neal was dedicated to public service, revolutionizing Oklahoma’s transportation and advocating for Native American interests and economic development.
Neal served in many prominent roles, including as Oklahoma’s first Secretary of Transportation and as Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Indian Affairs under Pres. George W. Bush. He also served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, including as House Minority Leader.
We appreciate the efforts of OSU Cowboy @GovStitt to make sure universities in Oklahoma field teams that are nationally competitive. His executive order brings exciting possibilities for our institutions, our student athletes and our fans. Go Pokes!
Earlier today I signed an executive order supporting Oklahoma’s talented student athletes.
We need to make sure our athletes stay competitive on the national stage— and that taxpayer dollars aren’t in the middle of NIL deals.

Today Oklahoma lost a true treasure. My condolences to the family and friends of Gene Rainbolt, whose presence will be greatly missed. 1/4
I cannot recall a visit with Gene that didn’t focus on the most vulnerable and ended with his encouragement to keep fighting for a better future for Oklahoma’s children - and a book for me to read. 3/4
