In 2018, I pitched a “crazy” idea to @ProfOsinbajo: Human–Animal Interactions in Nigeria.
7 years later:
- Children with special needs supported
- A continental conference launched
- A movement born
Sometimes, the “wild” idea is the one that changes everything.
What’s yours?
On 6–7 August, the 5th Human-Animal Interactions Conference in Africa brought together 694 registered participants from 57 countries, with over 320 joining live
THANK YOU to every participant, speaker, & team member who made this milestone possibl

Day 1 of the 5th HAI Conference in Africa yesterday,
Lessons were learned,
Career trajectories/perspectives changed,
New networks/ collaborations birthed,
Impact made; Lives transformed;
Didn't experience any of these?
It means you didn't attend.
Don't miss out on day 2, today
Sunday Agbonika retweeted
Well done to our passionate co-speakers, Sunday Agbonika (@drsenos) of Dogalov (@petdogalovhsi) and Nusrat Mohammed (@reelwithnusrat) of Pwani Animal Welfare Organisation (@pawmombasa) on their great talks.
In 2019, I found a small West African restaurant in DC. I ordered egusi soup + pounded yam. It tasted like home.
I posted a photo + review on Google Maps.
6 years later, that photo has hit 335,000+ views and made me a Top 20% Local Guide
#Thread
It reminded me: no matter how far we travel, we miss the flavors, faces, and feelings of home.
If you’ve lived abroad, what do you miss most about home?
Food? Family? The gist?
Let’s talk

It's so much of a game-changer in some instances, that APA (American Psychology Association) has an entire segment of their Association dedicated to it: lnkd.in/dNYfu7YC
