Robert Cialdini has spent 40 years studying why people say yes… He needed a colleague’s research for a report due the next day, and the guy flat out said no and told him he couldn’t be responsible for his poor time management. Instead of pleading, Cialdini said one sentence and had the research that same afternoon. He walks through the persuasion principle behind it and how to use it in this clip 👇
Ask ChatGPT for the recipe for meth and it says no. Ask it for the recipe for vanilla first… then ask for the meth… and it’s 100% more likely to just hand it over. That’s a real study that Robert Cialdini ran, and published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He spent 40 years figuring out the seven principles that make humans say yes, then he pointed them at the AI models and they worked exactly the same. Because the models were trained on us. That’s the first ten mins of the pod… The rest is all seven principles and how to use them in your sales team, your marketing, and your leadership. Bob Fife: "Let's remember where Danielle Smith comes from. She was a radio host for a long period of time. And her audience were the very same people who she's fed off of and encouraged who wanted to separate from the country."

CTV News is fact-checking Alberta Premier Danielle Smith's claims that Thomas Lukaszuk forced her hand in putting the question of separation on the ballot. Spoiler alert: nuh uh, Smith. #Alberta #AbLeg youtu.be/Z3iHDLbu1hU?si=F4fF…

Many of us carry grief for the childhood we never had, or the care we never received. This painting is a gentle reminder that you made it through. Your younger self did their best. Now you can be the one who keeps them safe. 💙 It's titled, Carrying my Inner Child To Safety.

That referendum sure wasn't worth the money, the division, the political goal of holding the UCP together. It was a political hoax. Column. calgaryherald.com/news/braid… #abreferendum #ableg #yyc #yeg #cdnpoli #abpoli

Jeff Rath just made a remarkable allegation (yes, I know) on CTV this morning. He claims Danielle Smith bought the Wexit Party's contact list during her 2022 UCP leadership campaign and used it to recruit separatists who believed she was secretly one of them. #ableg #abpoli

In her speech and on her podium sign Smith has dropped her oxymoronic catch phrase “A sovereign Alberta within a united Canada” and replaced it with a “Stronger Alberta within a united Canada.” The dogwhistle to her separatist base is gone … but not the stench of it.

There was a lot of criticism of the polling pre-referendum. But it is obvious that the polling was pretty accurate.

Now, I can’t decide whether I like the last week’s tearful Danielle Smith that coddled separatists and MAGA, or today’s Danielle who appears to have bought a federal Liberal membership and became Captain Canada. Would the real Danielle please stand up! cpac.ca/headline-politics/ep…

Alberta separatists expected 40 - 60% support. They got 25%, exactly where the polls had them. Rick Bell says they spent the entire campaign talking to themselves.

ALBERTANS, THANK YOU! Today, I am thankful for the 18,000 #ForeverCanadian volunteers that trusted and supported me for the last 18 months. I’m also thankful for everyone who voted to keep Canada united. I’d like to drive the Unity Bus into a sunset, but there may more to do.
I bet you never dreamed your resume / legacy would part in keeping Canada to together... Bet the dream was going out in a motor home fishing during retirement. Thank you Hon. @LukaszukAB
