Freshwater lochs are an iconic part of Scotland. We are pleased to contribute to this project with @StirlingScience, which will provide high-quality, near real-time data to help people understand issues around this nationally important loch, and help us continue to care for it.
A buoy is to be installed at Gartmorn Dam to collect water quality data for world-leading research led by #UofStirling scientists which will benefit the local area. Find out more 👉 brnw.ch/21wJYGm @stirlingscience @scottish_water @naturescot @clackscouncil

#UofStirling's @drpeterhunter is to lead an innovative project to develop a new system for monitoring freshwater quality in the UK. The partnership with @scottish_water
and @ScottishEPA is funded by @NERCscience and @DefraGovUK. Find out more 👉 brnw.ch/21wHRCZ
Delighted to have received funding from the NERC Innovation in Environmental
Monitoring programme for the #SenseH2O project in collaboration with colleagues from the @UofGlasgow and @CENSIS121 and partnering with @scottish_water and @ScottishEPA.
We are partnering with @DefraGovUK and @innovateuk to invest £12 million, which will benefit new technologies for monitoring the state of UK waterways, habitats, soil and air.

We've developed a new online system to improve above-water remote sensing reflectance measurements by removing residual reflected skylight. Check out this free tool to get more accurate Rrs data for your water colour studies fortheralandingzone.stir.ac.…

ALT An example of the Rrs before (top left) and after (bottom left) correction for a transect measured on 13 September 2021 during CERTO Plymouth campaign. It can be seen that after correction Rrs from same location cluster together, which is reasonable because water in the same location should have similar bio-optical properties.
