Mission S. Authentic. Consistent. Timeless. A glimpse into the future - shaped by our heritage. Mid-engine architecture. A focus on the driver and the driving experience. Call it a love letter.

Friendly reminder: the world is run by high agency people, not smart people. Stop consuming information and start taking insane levels of action.

This is spot on!
Some see tech's boom/bust cycle as a bug I think it's actually a feature, hype drives the industry to irrationally try to reinvent the world every 5 yrs This worked fine for the past 50 years But now for the first time tech hype is like 3% of US GDP so... bust could be rougher

In the last few weeks, awareness of the gap between AI risks and biological defense has grown significantly, but there has been less discussion of how to close it. Closing that gap requires building a new technical stack for biodefense. We wanted to start breaking down that stack into concrete engineering problems - and outline what capabilities can solve them. Read our capability overview here (valthos.com/brief/building-r…)

Today, we’re announcing Varda’s $250M Series D raise, bringing the total amount of capital raised to $598 million with a $1.6B valuation. This funding will help us build more vehicles, grow pharmaceutical partnerships, and advance toward the first medicine manufactured in space for patients on Earth.

Adam Neumann on why top-down management fails with great talent: "Top to bottom means you think because someone reports in to you, they have to do what you say." "But it's not true. This is not a dictatorship. They have free will." "If you hired someone, they're really talented, they'll go work elsewhere. The more talented they are, the more the top to bottom does not work. They won't be willing to do it. They shouldn't." "Great talent is not willing to be managed like this." "If you're gonna manage these employees and you wanna attract the best talent in the world, remember that power comes from influence, not control." "If you think they need to do what you said because you're their boss, you've already lost, and it's a matter of time till it doesn't work out. If they're okay with it... they're not the right employee for you, and you're not the right boss for them. There's no chance you're getting the best out of them." @AdamNeumann w/ @StevenBartlett

I'm not sure I agree with Mad Men at #3...
The New York Times ha finalizado su lista de las mejores series del siglo. Breaking Bad tomó el primer puesto.

September 24, 2026 marks one year since I was sworn in as the ASW(CT). Over the past 365 days, our team has worked tirelessly to accelerate critical technologies from the lab to the field. Here’s a look at what we've built, delivered, and achieved together in Year One. 👇

Pretty cool
BREAKING: The U.S. military is now reportedly using high-energy laser weapons in the Strait of Hormuz to shoot down drones and incoming cruise missiles - with some systems operated using modified Xbox-style controllers. The New York Post reports the directed-energy systems are being deployed against Iranian threats at a fraction of the cost of conventional interceptor missiles. The controller technology itself is not new: U.S. laser systems have previously been demonstrated with gamepad-style controls designed to make them easier for soldiers to learn and operate. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth personally tested one of the systems during a June demonstration at White Sands Missile Range, where directed-energy weapons were used against aerial targets. The lasers are invisible to the naked eye and disable targets by concentrating energy on a small area until critical components overheat or fail. The confirmed deployment highlights the growing link between space and missile defense: U.S. satellites increasingly provide the warning and tracking data that helps terrestrial systems identify and engage incoming threats.
