Dear Indian origin/American leaders in the US, @satyanadella, @sundarpichai, @ArvindKrishna, @nikesharora, @nealmohan, @MicronCEO, @JayZscaler, @kunalb11, @RamaswmySridhar, @AravSrinivas, @ThomasOrTK, @LeenaNairHR, @snarayen, @VivekGRamaswamy, @RepBera, @CongressmanRaja, @RepSuhas @Kash_Patel It is high time you all speak up against the despicable, dangerous racism and hate against Indians on American social media. And do something about it as Tech CEOs and political leaders. The despicable, dehumanizing hate against Indians is being spread everywhere - Facebook, Instagram, X, Youtube, Reddit, Telegram... Staying silent and not doing anything anymore - as more young people in the US are radicalized to hate Indians using social media - may one day lead to our own family and friends having to face such racist, radicalized, violent, supremacists. American social media platforms are being used by adversarial actors to specifically target Indians in the US. They are seeding racism and hate using violent words and dehumanizing imagery, programming many Americans to become racist and hateful - specifically against Indians. May be it is being done to drive out Indians, attack India for geopolitics, or try erode India-US ties. But it is real, relentless and extreme form of communist hate that's being seeded. There's no reason why, you all as stalwarts of silicon valley and politics can't get together, talk about this crisis, and take action to end ALL hate and racism on social media. It shouldn't be that difficult in the age of AI to filter out, block racist and hate filled comments against any community, isn't it. How come this is not being proposed and implemented across SV companies? And why isn't any of you speaking out against this increasing online hate and racism against Indian Americans and Indians? Among all mentioned above, till now only @CongressmanRaja has talked about the topic of online hate and the recent attempted mass shooting. Please start talking among yourselves, even if not publicly, and kindly take some action 🙏

"Software Engineering Will Be Automatable in 12 Months," Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei predicts that AI models will be able to do 'most, maybe all' of what software engineers do end-to-end within 6 to 12 months, shifting engineers to editors.

Everyone should have a Saturday morning lie-in-bed session with ChatGPT. Truly mind-blowing. Ask all the questions, stupid or not, without the fear of being judged. Today's session - "Right now, that remaining obligation occupies a lot of mental space." 🤯 @ChatGPTapp @OpenAI

The next step for autoresearch is that it has to be asynchronously massively collaborative for agents (think: SETI@home style). The goal is not to emulate a single PhD student, it's to emulate a research community of them. Current code synchronously grows a single thread of commits in a particular research direction. But the original repo is more of a seed, from which could sprout commits contributed by agents on all kinds of different research directions or for different compute platforms. Git(Hub) is *almost* but not really suited for this. It has a softly built in assumption of one "master" branch, which temporarily forks off into PRs just to merge back a bit later. I tried to prototype something super lightweight that could have a flavor of this, e.g. just a Discussion, written by my agent as a summary of its overnight run: github.com/karpathy/autorese… Alternatively, a PR has the benefit of exact commits: github.com/karpathy/autorese… but you'd never want to actually merge it... You'd just want to "adopt" and accumulate branches of commits. But even in this lightweight way, you could ask your agent to first read the Discussions/PRs using GitHub CLI for inspiration, and after its research is done, contribute a little "paper" of findings back. I'm not actually exactly sure what this should look like, but it's a big idea that is more general than just the autoresearch repo specifically. Agents can in principle easily juggle and collaborate on thousands of commits across arbitrary branch structures. Existing abstractions will accumulate stress as intelligence, attention and tenacity cease to be bottlenecks.

After a couple hours of work, I finally finished developing my first ever skill. :D Claude’s frontend skill tells the AI to "pick an extreme aesthetic" and "be creative." The problem tho is LLMs are just based on probability. Without strict rules, they statistically default to the most likely patterns, that's where AI slop comes from. To get clean and production-grade UI, you need to override these biases with some engineering constraints. I open-sourced Taste-Skill to fix this. :) Check it out! github.com/Leonxlnx/taste-sk… (still early lots of improvements are on the way)

This happened last night. Yet to see what it built. But it really does not matter, now, does it? What is the inflection point called? Turing, AGI? There has to be a name for this

If you are not planning for the price of intelligence to go to zero, the next 3-5 years are going to incredibly disruptive to your business / life. This is the main idea for the rest of the decade, buckle up.

A year ago I tried the Moderna vaccine to see if it was safe. (Spoiler: It is!) Now, on my #COVIDvaccine anniversary, I’m happy to share that I just got a 3rd dose. This booster experiment will reveal (1) if strain-adapted vaccines boost immunity & (2) whether they are safe.
