Simulators! We are working on releasing some of our tools. This week's is lammpsio, (yet another) Python package for reading & writing LAMMPS data & dump files. We think the interface is pretty clean in our workflows. Available @ pypi.org/project/lammpsio

Congratulations to my colleague Jian Qin (sadly not on Twitter) who received this year's Dillon Medal!! Jian is a brilliant polymer physicist, supportive mentor to his students, and thoughtful colleague...a well-deserved honor! @APS_DPOLY @StanfordEng aps.org/programs/honors/priz…

Is MPCD a good model for colloidal suspensions? Yes (mostly), and it’s easy to apply to complex particle shapes! Preprint with Arash and talented Auburn undergraduate Grace is on arXiv arxiv.org/abs/2110.06029

First day of school (again)! It's been quite a year, but I'm super excited to officially start my career at @AuburnU. Looking forward to sharing and pushing forward my work on soft materials with great chemical engineering students! (Old picture... it's cold here!)

Design of molecular properties like flexibility can enhance our control over linked colloid assemblies. Great work by undergraduate student Adithya Sreenivasan is up on arXiv! arxiv.org/abs/2011.12512

Statistical mechanics predicts the prevalence of common bonding motifs in linked colloid assemblies (& how we might avoid them). Our recent work is up on arXiv! arxiv.org/abs/2010.08027

This morning's THON 5k with @greenrache was special because it's been 10 years since my first! Help the largest student-run philanthropy end childhood cancer at thon.org! #RunWithUsFTK then: now:

Very fun and cool science led by Manny! Also a great example of how experiments and simulations work together to make new materials!

Computer simulations and multicomponent diffusion models explain how evaporating solvent controls the composition of polymer superparticles. My recent work with Arash in J. Chem. Phys. doi.org/10.1063/5.0014429

Congratulations Zach! You have some super interesting ideas for this fellowship!
I'm unbelievably excited to be named an Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow! HUGE thanks to @TM_Truskett for his contribution to the mentor portion of the application and @Jim_Swan for a letter of rec! Can't wait to do some great science with @BeckmanFnd!
