Before becoming a school leader, Mr. Chapple taught Audio/Video Technology and Film, where he enjoyed watching students turn what they learned into creative projects. Today, he continues to value student potential and the relationships he builds with students. He is especially proud of the opportunity to bring a grocery store into Alcovy High School to support the school community. Above all, Mr. Chapple wants every student to become the best version of themselves and hopes Alcovy will always be a place where everyone feels welcome. Away from school, he's a professional photographer and former broadcast news professional who enjoys breadmaking, 3D printing, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs! 📚 NCS: In the Classroom — Alcovy High School Our latest stop took us to Alcovy High School, where students were putting learning into action! Marketing students showcased their entrepreneurial skills by presenting business ideas during the Georgia FLEX competition, while culinary students learned why proper hygiene is essential in the kitchen. 👩‍🍳 In Social Studies, students worked in groups comparing the roles of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate before engaging in point/counterpoint discussions about the importance of each chamber. 🇺🇸 From entrepreneurship and career readiness to civic engagement, there was plenty of great teaching and learning to see at Alcovy!

Newton County Schools was well represented at the recent Georgia Teacher of the Year Gala! Our 2026 Teacher of the Year, Dr. Quinita Morrow of Alcovy High School, joined Newton County STEAM Academy third grader Tristan Iverson for this special statewide event. Tristan had the honor of introducing Georgia State School Superintendent Richard Woods before the audience and did an outstanding job on the big stage. From one of our exceptional educators to one of our rising young leaders, both represented Newton County Schools with professionalism, confidence, and pride.
