There are significant obstacles to trans people accessing good quality everyday healthcare.

I can’t overstate the contribution that @DrMikeFarquhar personally and the Rainbow Badge project in general has made to addressing #LGBT health inequalities. It started with one doctor in one hospital and has evolved into an impactful project involving nearly 80 hospital trusts
We are aware of a number of attacks on twitter aimed at @DrMikeFarquhar for showing his lanyard & badges, which show his strong support for all LGBTQ+ patients, including trans folk
We wholeheartedly stand behind him and his work, & proudly wear our @RainbowNHSBadge
It’s all about listening, empathy, compassion, inclusion and patient centred care - all key principles of the NHS. Thanks for what you started @DrMikeFarquhar - I’m proud to be able to continue the work #LGBTHealth 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
