Great example of tail hedging in action: Covid crash
The long mean-reversion effect is extremely strong in equities and equity ETFs. But it comes with a significant left tail. Many investors stopped hedging because protection was barely needed over the last decade. What happens when markets keep falling for longer? That is why our new equity product includes an explicit insurance layer: robuxio.com/equities

Sharing capital dynamically across different trading sleeves is the key to efficient capital usage. Diversification is valuable. But the real compounding benefit appears when the same capital can be reused across multiple diversification factors. Example: Robuxio Equities ETI Yellow line: fixed equal capital allocation Blue line: dynamic capital allocation across sleeves The yellow line represents the classic approach: dividing capital across several baskets to achieve diversification. The blue line shows the added value of trading the same capital across those baskets. Higher capital efficiency = stronger compounding over the long term.

Most crypto backtests are built on a lie. Pavel Kycek has the data to prove it. When you backtest a crypto strategy today, you're testing against the coins that survived. The ones that went to zero aren't in your dataset. Your backtest never sees a single wipeout. In equities, survivorship bias is a known problem. Researchers account for it. In crypto, Pavel's research puts it at 5-10x worse. The population of failed projects dwarfs the equities equivalent by an enormous margin. The practical effect: strategies that look profitable in backtests frequently fail in live trading, not because the logic is wrong, but because the test environment was never honest about the full universe of assets. The fix isn't complicated. You need to include delisted and failed assets in your historical data. Test against the full population, not just the survivors. The strategies that survive that test are the ones worth running. Most crypto algo traders never make this adjustment. Their backtests look excellent right up until they encounter something the test never included.

Bitcoin is down 50%. Your portfolio didn't have to be. A simple 3-strategy portfolio outperformed BTC since 2019 with 3x smaller max drawdown. Here's the portfolio (and how you can trade it too):
