This is a really bad look and I hope BC does the right thing at the upcoming election. Eby inherited a $5.7b surplus and turned it into a $13.8b deficit in less than 4 years.
Just now, David Eby confirms that he has his kids in $10/day taxpayer-subsidized daycare.
Approx. only 10% of BC daycare spots offer $10/day daycare. Most families who want in can't get a spot.
As Premier, Eby earns $227k/year. Eby's wife is a doctor. Their household income is likely well over half a million dollars per year.
We don't resent British Columbians who are successful (we want more people to succeed).
But where there are wait lists, surely a wealthy family like Eby's shouldn't be taking advantage of $10/day daycare. Think about a working single mother? David Eby deserves the spot more than her?
This is what happens when your economy is artificially propped up by unsustainable H1B immigration. The same way Canada "boosted" its economy by flooding the country with foreign temp. workers and students for years under Trudeau.
whoa, just gave @Muse and Codex Sol 6 the same computer use task to complete and Muse obliterated Codex. its FAST!
i'm aware it's 2am but is anyone else getting "Selected model is at capacity" on every model in Codex right now?
I've noticed that unless you explicitly set a goal, Astra sometimes just randomly stops working in the middle of a task. Even after claiming it is doing something. Anyone else?
I hate to rain on the parade but this could cause huge problems for Canada if true.
Europe's immigration is even more out of control than Canada's is.
Canada's biggest problem is productivity, and EU's economy is growing even slower than Canada's.
We already have mostly tariff free trade with the EU. Canadians can already travel easily to almost anywhere in Europe.
Visa free work in EU just gives another landing spot for our top talent to leave.

If Canada is serious about fixing this, start by reversing the capital gains tax increases put in place by Trudeau in 2024.
Overnight, this created huge downside risk for investors (especially early stage), and made attracting top talent via stock options and equity nearly impossible.
Prime Minister Mark Carney will gather scores of deep-pocketed investors in Toronto next week in a bid to fix Canada’s “Achilles heel” — a persistent lack of business investment dragging down the economy vancouver.citynews.ca/2026/0…
Was this really the best qualified candidate for this role?
There wasn’t a single senior AI researcher, computer science professor or PhD-level AI expert in Ontario who could perform this role? What a joke.
I am deeply humbled and honoured to be appointed Ontario’s first-ever Associate Minister of Artificial Intelligence Adoption ⚡
I want to thank Premier @fordnation for his continued trust in me to serve in his cabinet, especially in such an important portfolio. I am looking forward to working closely with the Premier alongside Minister @VictorFedeli at the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade.
Ontario is the birthplace of AI, and as we continue our mandate to #ProtectOntario from President Trump’s attacks, we are committed to growing economic opportunities in AI here at home.
Let’s make Ontario the AI Capital of Canada 🇨🇦
Canada should treat its immigration the way a company would - by competing for the best talent possible. What incentives do the top talent living in countries like Denmark, Japan, Singapore, and the US have to come to Canada?
Every once in awhile I check Anthropic's communications and am immediately reminded why I cancelled and switched to Codex months ago
Starting September 14, we're permanently raising standard weekly limits in Claude Code by 25% for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans. Until then, the current 50% increase will be in place.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While standard base limits are increasing by 25%, this change represents a net 17% reduction in weekly limits compared to the active 50% promotional limits users currently experience, as confirmed by the official Claude account: x.com/claudedevs/sta…
It seems like @CBC has no issue using the terms ‘terrorist’ and ‘terrorist attack’, in certain scenarios that is. So is their position that these incidents are warranted, but somehow 9/11 isn’t? I don’t want my tax dollars funding this nonsense any longer.
So does this mean @CBC is okay using the term “terrorist” as long as the terrorists aren’t Muslim?
Interesting how Carney and every major party leader was out for blood when Air Canada’s CEO didn’t make statements in French, yet are silent when @CBC refuses to call 9/11 a terrorist attack. What is going on?
Trump will rename lakes and do all the meaningless petty stuff loudly while his team is already conceding items in private. Of course that way he can still claim how much winning he is doing.
Canada-U.S Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc says the United States has confirmed that Canada’s protections of language and culture won’t be the subject of future trade actions. vancouver.citynews.ca/2026/0…
I don't think politicians at any level should turn their comment sections off on posts. What's the point?
Carney’s using a few tricks from the Trump playbook by “branding” the tariffs the ‘unjustified US tariffs’ and referring to them consistently. He’s good at this. Now we need a new major foreign partnership announcement daily. Keep the drum beating.
