Property owners holding parking lots for this exact reason is one of the things holding DTLA back from its full potentially. Every surface level lot could be housing <on top of even more parking>. Super random interview but it highlights one of the challenges/opps for DTLA.
Frankie Muniz reveals he bought downtown LA parking lots that skyrocketed in value and generated massive cash flow with zero overhead
"I owned some parking lots in downtown LA."
"Then you know downtown LA from, I don't know, 2002, there was really nothing there, and now it became like a pretty trendy, there's so much down there. So they did really well there."
"You have like one or two employees who take money all day from cars. There's no overhead. Every once in a while they paint the lines."

No joke, it's actually very scary how stupid you ppl are. You really think El*n is going to sell you a vehicle that will be doing flips in traffic?
Marques Brownlee says Tesla will never deliver the Rocket version of their new Roadster:
“There’s no way you or I will be able to buy this car. We might as well ignore this becoming a real product. The base one, the fan car one, I can see that being possible. But at this point, I don’t even think it matters, because Tesla has proven to us that the Roadster is by far their least important product.”
I think Marques will be proven wrong, on all fronts. They didn’t spend years developing it to just not make it. While this new Roadster still has plenty of development work to go, the 2017 Roadster was much more of a prototype than this new one IMO. Tesla wants to deliver for all the people that put down deposit money all those years ago, and I think they will.

Not the first CEO to say this either. They know what’s on the horizon. This is a gimmick to save their heads.
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby tells the New York Times that "wealth inequality has become a danger to our society" and must be addressed.
"We should have a national wealth tax... we should have inheritance taxes that get close to 100 percent at some level. I would pay them."

GEORGIA IS ONE OF ONLY 10 STATES THAT HAVE NOT EXPANDED MEDICAID!
Let that sink in!
The 10 states are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
40 states and Washington, D.C. have adopted Medicaid expansion. Why hasn’t Georgia?
As a healthcare professional for almost 30 years, I have seen firsthand what happens when people cannot afford healthcare. They delay treatment, conditions get worse, and preventable illnesses become life-threatening.
Meanwhile, hospitals are struggling, families are suffering, and hardworking Georgians are going without the care they need.
The federal government covers 90% of the costs for the Medicaid expansion population. We need to have a serious conversation about why Georgia continues to turn down this opportunity.
Healthcare should NEVER be determined by your income, your ZIP code, or your political affiliation!
This is not a Democratic or Republican issue. This is a HUMAN issue!
We can disagree on politics, but we should all agree that access to healthcare matters.
Faith without works is dead. We cannot continue talking about helping people without taking action.
EXPAND MEDICAID IN GEORGIA NOW!
