Each American has only the US Flag and the Flag of the appropriate choice from these several United States to fly. To fly any other flag is divisive and an act of discountenance against this nation.

Can a single database architecture satisfy both vibe-coded and large scale enterprise apps? The same approach makes small database ultra cheap to run and branch can also make a large one faster and easier to operate. We call this architecture Lakebase.

EVERYONE SHOULD DEADLIFT 💯 There's a reason I tell people to learn how to deadlift. For me this movement is about health. It's about function. It's about building strength.

Why do we only question the camera when it’s pointed at something GOOD? Nobody asks why somebody posted the shooting, the fight, the arrest, or somebody’s worst day. But let somebody feed families, mentor children, clean up a neighborhood, or change a life and suddenly it’s, “Why did you have to record it?” Because goodness deserves documentation too. If all we share is the worst of our communities, eventually we start believing that’s all our communities have to offer. So yes, document the work. Tell the good stories. Give people something positive to share. Our cities are more than their worst headlines. Make the good louder.

From @TXGunRights: "During the 2025 legislative session, Representative Brian Harrison filed H.B. 961 to restrict automated license-plate readers, require judicial authorization in many circumstances, limit data sharing, and require unrelated records to be destroyed. Austin buried the bill without a vote. Texas Gun Rights intends to make sure that does not happen again."

The most prominent picture of this historical figure on Google is now AI (left), simply because a blog posted it. Mismatching actual photographs with the wrong names was already an issue, the addition of AI is only making it worse. Verify ALL historical photography.
I will never, under any circumstances, post AI historical photos or film. Illustrations are fine, but passing AI off as genuine historical artifacts is an ever growing issue that will have devastating consequences in the coming years.

We are very excited about GLM 5.3 Flash, the latest frontier model in the efficient tier: - On OfficeQA Pro and Pro V2, GLM 5.3 Flash outperforms DeepSeek V4 Flash 0731 and GPT 5.6 Luna. We are especially impressed to see it push out the quality-cost pareto frontier for both benchmarks. - We also evaluated its new vision capabilities on an internal enterprise document parsing benchmark. It delivers strong performance approaching Gemini 3.6 Flash, with solid results on the structured documents and tables. You can try GLM 5.3 Flash on the @databricks serving platform today!

🚨 Anthropic just showed a 27-minute workshop on how to actually do prompts for Claude. Taught by the people who built it. Free. No registration. No paywall. I've seen $300 courses that don't cover what they teach in the first 8 minutes. Watch the session

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) is out, and Databricks was named a Visionary in our first appearance, the highest debut for any vendor in this MQ’s 20+ year history. BI has already changed. Anyone can drill from a signal down to the truth behind it and agentic loops make sure every answer has the full story. That’s where we're ahead with Genie and AI/BI. I use it every day to see the key signals, understand what changed and why, and decide what to do about it. Huge congratulations to the teams, and thank you to our customers.

Reading the autobiographies of the ancestors is the closest thing to having an actual conversation with them. You’ll find yourself talking to the book and within the next sentence or two, you’ll get a response. It becomes a dialogue. It’s an experience like no other.
