Wait what 🤯
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

Muse is the first agent from a large company with Tailscale support.
Meta—the consumer company—added Tailscale support!1!! Can you imagine how much corporate BS the team had to bulldoze through to override the logical choice and just do the fun thing for tinkerers?
I don't think people realize that if you just pull data from an EMR, it's not as clean and AI-usable as you would think. EMR is billing software or a "billing shadow of care" and despite all the clicks and inputs does not capture the nuance of clinical care.
Health info is so sloppy. And tools like ChatGPT health are just plugging into that infra - EMRs, etc.
I think repeated real world use trains physicians to be moderately skeptical of that data. Although many medical errors are still attached to that poor data and physicians not catching it. AI can do better at it but the harnesses and tools need to be intentionally built for confirming if you're gonna plug into existing data stores for patients. An expanded version of "AI can make mistakes" like OpenAI throws up here probably isn't good enough long term.

SpaceX and Tesla are each building 100GW/year of solar production capacity as fast as possible, but natural gas will still be needed to supplement and bootstrap solar for several years.
The limiting factor for nat gas turbine production is casting the blades & vanes. By doing in-house casting at SpaceX, we can accelerate nat gas turbines coming online by up to 18 months, which is a profound game-changer.

Did @mcuban just come up with the slogan for healthcare reform?
"If you can schedule it, cash pay is cheaper."

Lightyears better than the recent Ryder Cup gear which IMO always looks terrible.
So @BDraddy officially unveiled the U.S. & International team uniforms for the @PresidentsCup.
Lowkey, golf has to be one of the hardest sports to get team uniforms right. Everyone has an opinion. Team USA has caught plenty of heat as of late between the Ryder Cup and the Olympics.
I actually like the direction here. Rather than chasing whatever is trending, these feel rooted in the design language that's defined the Presidents Cup uniforms for the last 30+ years. Scroll through the archives, and they don't feel out of place. That's usually a good sign they'll still look good a decade from now.
Thoughts?
Incredible stat @acaseofthegolf1
For those keeping count, Keenan Huskey has Monday qualified for the @PGATOUR in 3 of his last 4 attempts.
How many times has that ever happened @acaseofthegolf1? Grok said to ask Ryan French.

USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.

This was a great episode. @georgetolisjr says the quiet part out loud about residency training.
Medical students think being a cardiac surgeon means waking up, going to the OR, doing something incredible, and going home.
That couldn't be further from the truth.
And we're not correcting them.
Three different pathways to become a cardiac surgeon.
5-2. 4-3. I-6.
Programs change their pathway depending on the year. Depending on who came back from the lab.
"There's no other field like this. If you want to become a pilot, there is a path. With cardiac surgery, there are three different paths — and programs change them depending on the year."
And the work hour restrictions meant to protect residents?
"I'm convinced they hurt the residents."
Residency is supposed to be a simulation of the rest of your life.
We're not giving them that simulation.
We're giving them a highlight reel.
And then sending them out to practice.
Wow is this the best Masters Club Dinner menu ever? Well done @McIlroyRory
