Happy to read the first online review of my book Outbreak Chronicles! “The last time I read a book in one sitting was the Harry Potter series and now Outbreak Chronicles has joined that rare club. This thought-provoking work not only educates but inspires, setting the stage for further innovations in infectious disease management. Here is hoping for a sequel or even a cinematic adaptation to amplify its profound messages” @Raksha_Bhat Outbreak Chronicles: The Untold Stories of Real-life Outbreaks - is available on Amazon. linkedin.com/posts/raksha-bh…

The IAIH Workshop also unveiled the second cohort of 7 startups selected under the C-CAMP Programme on AMR in the Environment (Call #2), as supported by the UK Department of Health and Social Care’s Global AMR Innovation Fund (#GAMRIF). This builds a world-class cohort of 16 deep-science solutions tackling AMR in the environment, a critical yet often overlooked front in the fight against AMR. Their unique technologies will detect resistant microbes and traces of antimicrobials in environmental samples, prevent the spread of AMR in the environment and treat samples at source to eliminate the risk of contamination with resistant pathogens and antibiotic traces in the environment. Congrats, Ampligene India, BioNEST - BHU, GenePath India, @iitmadras, Meril Diagnostics, Module Diagnostics and @csir_ncl The seven winners of the C-CAMP One Health AMR Challenge 2025, supported by the Denmark-based International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (@ICARS_global) were also announced Congrats bigtec Labs, MUSE Diagnostics, GENEPATH, ACHIRA, FNDR, UltraNutri, Chimertech @Taslimarif @PrinSciAdvOff @PrinSciAdvGoI @PMOIndia @DrJitendraSingh @MoHFW_INDIA @DBTIndia @IndiaDST @gardp_amr @ICARS_global @BMGFIndia @wellcometrust @novonordiskfond @SBI_FOUNDATION @ICMRDELHI @KaminiWalia @anand_bugworks @draghafur @CARB_X @RenuSwarup @SharmaShradha @YourStoryCo @the_hindu @EconomicTimes @TOIIndiaNews @PTI_News @TheWeek @ThePrintIndia @DeccanHerald @Inc42 @IndiaBioscience @FASTIndiaTrust @ccmb_csir @iiscbangalore @AMRITAedu @IISERPune @iitdelhi @iitbombay @IITKanpur @NCBS_Bangalore @DBT_inStem @jncasr @THSTIFaridabad

“If India wishes to reclaim its place on the global fragrance map, it must invest in the biotechnological aspects of perfumery — biosynthetic molecule research, enzyme technology, microbial fermentation, and skin microbiome science. The fragrances of tomorrow will emerge not only from rose fields but from laboratories where perfumers and biotechnologists work side by side.” @BIRAC_2012 @PMOIndia @PrinSciAdvGoI @PiyushGoyal @PiyushGoyalOffc sciencechronicle.in/2025/11/…

Please watch my interview on The Hindu newspaper’s Health Wrap programme, where I discuss the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) proposal to classify ethyl alcohol as a Category 1 carcinogenic and reprotoxic substance. *You can watch from the 9th minute of the video.* This proposed change could have major implications for the use of ethyl alcohol — especially as a disinfectant in hospital hand rubs — and also for other industries, including perfumery.@ramyakannan @zubeda_h youtu.be/krrLPuaNjR4

Honoured to be interviewed by The Medics Podcast—a pioneering platform led by Dr. Amani Alnimr that is inspiring innovation and entrepreneurship among medical professionals in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The conversation gave me an opportunity to share my journey as a clinician and discuss why doctors must lead in shaping future healthcare solutions, not just adopt them. Wishing The Medics Podcast great success in its mission to empower medics to become innovators and change-makers across the region. @TheMedicsPodcast @CCAMP_Bangalore @StartupIndia @KAUST_News @Hub71AD @DubaiFutureFdn @BIRAC_2012 @WHO @FragraGenomics @quorumveda podcasts.apple.com/in/podcas…
