If you're an MTC clinical lead or air ambulance medical director and you haven't received an email from me in the last couple of days can you get in touch? (am not convinced the "official list" is up to date!)

The NHS is one of our nation’s greatest institutions and I am honoured to support its 75th birthday by backing ‘parkrun for the NHS’ on 8 & 9 July. I encourage everyone to head down to their local parkrun and join in the fun! #NHS75parkrun @NHSEngland england.nhs.uk/parkrun

This is not basic pay. It includes compulsory overtime pay - nights, weekends & bank holidays, not to mention a 48hr working week. This, in other words, is an official civil service account - supposedly impartial & accurate - parroting blatantly misleading government spin.
The BMA has demanded a 35% pay rise for junior doctors. Here's their current average pay rates at different levels. digital.nhs.uk/data-and-info…

Our wonderful Head of Nursing @jasimpson13 and fantastic Rehab Coordinator @fiona_conway giving the new Dr VR a go! Could be very exciting for pain management/distraction whilst undergoing painful repositions, wound changes, etc for our Major Trauma patients! Thanks @RescapeVR

Me and colleagues working in @BSUHgas 3 years ago this week. Long shifts spent in very challenging conditions saving lives. No parties were had at any point, same as all other NHS staff.

Double take of the day. (So far, it’s still early.) Rishi Sunak’s local electricity network has been upgraded to meet the power demands of his new swimming pool. Maybe read that twice.

I'm doing homework about polar explorers with my son, who has just described the revelation that Peter Freuchen (pictured, left) dug his way out of an ice cave with a chisel made out of his own frozen turd as "the best fact I have ever heard in my life."

This is my 6th year at @FactCheck and every winter England’s NHS has been in crisis. So when I started looking at the latest stats I was expecting to do a story about history repeating itself. But it’s not repeating. 2022 was *so* much worse. I can prove it in one graph.🧵
