.@belairdirect I'm hearing you are ignoring calls from evacuees from the wildfires in BC. That is terrible, they need help. Please do better.

So, Doug Ford's trip to Washington was (a) unethical and (b) useless. Way to go Dougie! Making Ontario great again. #onpoli #ONelxn

Not as costly as climate change. We've known for decades we need to transition away from oil and gas. The best thing would have been to start sooner, then we could already be a world leader in alternatives. The second best is to start now.
‘The emissions cap will be costly’ “Canada’s natural resource sector, especially oil and gas, has helped maintain middle-class stability by providing well-paying jobs and sustaining communities.” #CdnPoli #CdnEcon thehub.ca/podcasts/the-emiss…

@rnaguru can wastewater testing be used to assess the level of West Nile and Eastern Equine Encephalitis viruses in the population? I know the viruses can have really bad outcomes, but I wonder how often people are infected without serious effects. xitter.cf/OttawaHealth/status/18…
NEW: we are urging residents to protect themselves against mosquito bites to reduce the risk from eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEEV). We have received laboratory confirmation that an Ottawa resident who died of a viral encephalitis in August 2024 tested positive for eastern equine encephalitis virus infection. Although, I think many of the residents in Ottawa's more rural areas, where the mosquitoes are more of a problem, are on septic systems, so the city wastewater sampling could be much less useful.

So, I saw this tweet and thought “Shit, I forgot to order it.” So I went and ordered it, then looked at my orders. Turns out I forgot that I did order it 😂 So now I’ve got an extra one coming 👊 Thanks for writing this and I wish you much success 😎

We live in a time increasingly resembling the second half of the 1930s. I couldn't live with myself with the knowledge I didn't do more to stop another Hitler. In light of the Republican wavering and in memory of Navalny I will give $100 towards FPV drones for Ukr for every RT.

Hi @Ottawa_Traffic ! Signs up that Carling will be closed March to Shirleys Bay from June 4. Will it be open to local traffic (e.g to SB campus)? For bikes? Can bikes cross to/from Burke Rd? When does it reopen?

.@cath_cullen @CBCTheHouse infuriating conversation with @j_pedneault WTF @CanadianGreens? Would have liked him to answer if he'd just give up on reducing emissions, because some scientists say we can never stop climate change completely.

Good show again @PaulHaavardsrud Right at the end, it was implied cost of living would reduce when inflation goes down. But inflation is rate of change of cost, so if inflation goes to zero costs stay the same, no? So would need deflation to return cost of groceries to before?

This is not something to ignore. @CPHO_Canada what is being done here to reduce and treat #longcovid ? xitter.cf/jburnmurdoch/status/15…
Replying to @jburnmurdoch
And the second part is perhaps the most significant: even though rates of hospitalisation are significantly reduced, the enormous waves of infections that Omicron’s various lineages have brought, have sent rates of long Covid climbing faster than ever, to record levels.

.@armstrongcbc even if inflation is brought lower, prices won't come down - we need deflation to bring the cost of living back to manageable. Please could you report on the economic and political implications of that?

.@MarcMillerVM can you explain this? Better yet, fix it!
Today is the 9998th day of #Neskantaga FN Boil Water Advisory that started February 1, 1995. We were promised on April 16, 2016 by then ISC Minister Bennett that we would have clean drinking water by spring of 2018. #cleandrinkingwater #waterislife #bwa #cdnpoli #onpoli
Seriously, @ArnoldViersen , what could you possibly have been thinking? Apologise! Have some decency.
This Conservative MP said “NO” when the following Unanimous Consent motion was read out: “That the House express its horror at the school mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, and extend its deepest condolences to the families, friends and communities who lost loved ones. #cdnpoli

.@OttawaMorning thanks for Hydro interview, useful info. Please can you find out what is happening with Rogers? We have no cable (internet) since Saturday and have heard nothing about restoration. Would appreciate you covering that too, thanks.
.@CBCTheNational do you see what is happening in Ukraine? Why are you just replaying The National, rather than actually reporting the news?

.@Eli_ElChantiry what is your point, Eli? Are you saying that what @JimWatsonOttawa has done in negotiating LEGAL occupation of our City demolishes OPS/OPP/RCMP ability to actually get rid of the occupiers? But you're running for office again so forget you're a Watson supporter?
