Dink Pate's return to pro basketball (most likely) fills one more spot on @wcknicks roster.
The Knicks still have fours ways to add players for the final two slots:
1⃣ Draft (Oct 24) 2⃣ Local Tryout 3⃣ Trades 4⃣ Returning Rights of 24/25 players
Westchester already had Pate's rights since he played with the Knicks last season.
Signing the E10 (compared to returning to the G League after this weekend) gives Pate a potential bonus of $5,000 to $91,000 in addition to his G League salary.

The Knicks have today signed and then waived former G League Ignite guard Dink Pate to obtain his G League rights for the @wcknicks.
Pate, still just 20, has played three seasons in the @nbagleague and recently withdrew from Providence when he could not gain NCAA eligibility.
That is the "deadline" Bryan Hodgson mentioned in his statement yesterday (although the deadline in reality was Saturday by 5pm).
The timing would dictate the different between a roughly 50K salary and (up to) a 140K salary.

The big bounce-back year for @NewRo_FB continues.
Huguenots improve to 5-1 with their only loss to the defending champs on the road.
Nice to pick up a win against an old rival. Congrats to the 🟣 & ⚪️.
Takeaways from Iona's homecoming scrimmage against NJIT.
▪︎ Chloe Vasquez (23/6/2) on the floor is a sight for sore eyes.
▪︎ The knowns are in the backcourt. The ceiling is dependent upon the development of Tuomi and Flores plus the transfer impact of Smith and Herbert.
Electric night inside @HynesCenter.
Prep for the season continues this weekend for both programs as they continue to gear up for an opening day home doubleheader on November 2.
50-3 final to Iona Prep's improving to 7-0 (5-0).
A lot of big picture talk in the second half that may be worth a review.
IP might not be the best team but are they #1 in the Tri-State?
Skies opened in the final minutes but will take more to reign on the Gaels TD parade.
Beautiful night (for now) at Iona Prep. @IonaPrepSports about to kickoff vs Fordham Prep. The game is streaming on the @ASNetwork_. Subscription required but it's a great show.

This was Bryan Hodgson two weeks ago.
Warren denied. Dink denied. Sane pending, but seems like the same fact pattern.
Most teams set their rosters 48 hours before the Oct 19 deadline. So, Dink was up against it for signing an E10 and getting a bonus.
TBD on landing spot.
Dink Pate played last year for @wcknicks. He's currently listed on Providence's roster while still trying to gain eligibility through the courts.
A few questions for Friars head coach Bryan Hodgson.

One of best stories in the G.
Elmore spent the last four years in the GL after playing overseas the first three years out of Marshall.
He's most likely bound for Austin, but for now is getting his moment in an NBA uniform.
After being picked 9th in the BIG EAST women's basketball preseason poll, @XavierWBB believes it has the pieces to surprise.
And lastly a catch up with former Iona coach @CoachChambersXU, who along with former Gaels assistants Ashlee Kelly and Brianna Sanders, begins her fourth year at Xavier.
A conversation with the @DePaulWBBHoops newcomer.
I also spoke with former @IonaWBB standout Zoey Ward, who is set to enter her first year at DePaul.
Ward averaged 13.8 ppg, 8.8 rpg, and 1.6 apg across 35.8 mpg last season earning All-MAAC Second Team.
Some additional insight from BIG EAST Media Day
During a casual conversation in the room, I found out some more inform ation on the @IonaGaelsMBB - St. John's non-conference game.
A few notable guards have moved in the last month including Jon Elmore (STO ▶️ AUS) and Tristen Newton (IWA ▶️ STO).
After playing for San Antonio in Summer League, RJ Davis (former @step_basketball star) was traded over the weekend from Coachella Valley to Austin.
With training camps opening league-wide, some additional notables were on the move:
▪︎ Keyontae Johnson, Kylor Kelley, Giorgi Bezhanishvili, Orlando Robinson, Kira Lewis, Lester Quinones, Isaiah Stevens, Kevin Knox, Tyson Etienne
A dispatch from BIG EAST Media Day last week in New York City.
There were a few attendees that crossover to my current coverage areas.
A notebook dump will follow in the next4️⃣posts.

Expect him to end up there after Philadelphia training camp, where he signed an E10.
The deal also involved Dmytro Skapintsev who played for Westchester 2022-24.
