Sept 9: T-Mobile’s CFO says Starlink “is not a competitive threat from a wireless perspective, at all.”
Reason: physics. Satellites can’t get through walls. And Starlink has “no path to the right level of spectrum assets.”
The spectrum that fixes the wall problem is 800 MHz. T-Mobile owned it. Sold it to Grain on Aug 11 for $2.9B. Today Grain agreed to sell that exact portfolio to SpaceX.
T-Mobile stock is down ~7% after hours on a license it unloaded six weeks before calling the buyer’s plan laughable.
Elon Musk Just Made A Move That Will Change Cellphones Forever…
The FCC just cleared the way for SpaceX to expand Starlink and buy a nationwide 800 MHz low-band portfolio. Signals will be able carry through walls, tunnels and almost everywhere, effectively eliminating dead zones.
The announcement sent AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile’s stocks cratering.
Are we about to see an 𝕏 Phone?
Every NHL team already has a loss. It took 55 games.
Colorado and Anaheim were the last two standing, both 2-0. On Oct. 7, Winnipeg beat the Avs 3-2 and Edmonton beat the Ducks 5-2. That was it. Regulation, overtime, or shootout, nobody is unbeaten.
Fastest wipeout of the 30-team era. The old mark was 61 games, Oct. 10, 2009, when Atlanta and Nashville both lost at 2-0. @NHLPR @EvolvingHockey
Annual bump. @realDonaldTrump can make this happen with @StephenM help

I've warned for months that a @JetBlue-@SpiritAirlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fares.
@JusticeATR and @USDOT were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation.
This is a Biden win for flyers! apnews.com/article/jetblue-s…

Canada, with the 3rd largest oil reserves on the planet still imports 5-600,000 barrels of oil per day primarily from Saudi Arabia because Quebec refuses to agree to reverse flow an existing pipeline or allow any new pipelines so that Alberta & Saskatchewan oil can get to Irving refineries in NB.
We’ll never be an energy supper power as long as we refuse to use CDN oil first & your @liberal_party gov refuses to use the federal powers you have to overrule QC’s opposition to putting Canada first.
As Canada positions itself as a global energy superpower, partnerships between the federal government and the energy sector are essential to ensuring a strong and sustainable energy future for Canada.
In Calgary yesterday, Parliamentary Secretary @coreyhoganyyc and I met with the @OilGasCanada, who represents Canada’s oil and natural gas industry.
I also met with @Suncor Energy, one of Canada’s leading oil sands companies.
Canadian companies like these create good jobs and help ensure Canadians have a reliable, Canadian energy supply.

Without a doubt, Scott Adams will be one of the first if not the first human to be reanimated with AI (for lack of a better term.) This is inevitable, imo. At some point, I assume he knew that his daily livestream was going to lead to this, and I like to think he leaned into it.
