Sayin allowed 3 deep sacks vs Indiana. 2 of which, he ran straight into the guy. I’m praying for a speedy recovery but are we 100% certain that this offense is at max potential? Luke gives us wheels at the qb position on top of great pocket presence and a smart mind. QB1

Luke Fahey has backed up Julian Sayin this season. But with QB1 out for "several weeks," the Buckeyes should use this week to allow Fahey and Tavien St. Clair to compete for the job. May the best man win. 247sports.com/college/ohio-s…

When you give everything you have on the final play, get held, and think the battle is lost…only to realize the victory was already yours! 🙌🏾 From battling to worshipping and giving God ALL the glory! That’s a whole word. Happy Sunday folks. #ForHisGlory #GoBucks

Earl Campbell built his mother a house so she'd stop seeing the stars through her roof. That was the goal. Not the Heisman. Not the Hall of Fame. When Earl was 11, his father died of a heart attack. B.C. Campbell had worked the rose fields by day and a Kmart at night. His wife, Ann, was left with a rose farm, eleven children, and, by one account, two dollars in cash. She cleaned houses for a living. When Earl's first agent drove to Tyler to ask her permission to represent him, he said he could feel the wind blowing inside the house. Here's the part nobody expects. Ann didn't want him playing football. She tried to talk him out of it in high school. "I dis-encouraged Earl," she said. He played anyway. In 1977, he won the Heisman Trophy at Texas. By one account, the first words out of his mouth were for her. She was in the audience. Houston took him first overall in 1978. He signed for $1.4 million. The first thing he built was a house for his mother. It stood about 50 yards from the old one. When it was done, people lined up outside just to see the Heisman on a pedestal in her living room. His son Tyler once said his father's whole goal was to spoil Ann Campbell for the rest of her life. That's what he was running for. Every yard. Football gave her a house. It also took his body, over a career built on running straight at people. I think that's the fair way to read his story. The house was the trade. The body was the price.

What are your thoughts on Luke Fahey being Ohio State’s QB moving forward? 👀🌰 He beat out 6’4”, 5⭐️ sophomore Tavien St. Clair for the job. Are you confident in Fahey, or surprised St. Clair lost the battle?

I’ll never forget when Coach Grgurich called my house in high school. I had just narrowed my choices, hadn’t heard from UNLV and didn’t think they were interested. Between Grg’s slight East Coast accent/gravely voice and Tark sounding a bit like Elmer Fudd, it resonated with everything I’d always heard about Vegas and who ran that town. Years later on the Sonics team plane, Grg sees me reading Casino by Nicholas Pileggi and he says, “Let me see that book!” He starts skimming through the pages and keeps repeating, “I know that guy.”

Fun fact. Tim Mazzetti was a Philly bartender when the Falcons signed him 6 games into the 1981 season. A few weeks later on MNF, he kicked 5 FGs tying a team record and helping the Falcons defeat the division leading Rams, 15-7. He finished his rookie season making 13/16 FGs.

One of the best sporting events I’ve ever been to. Crowd was electric. Just a fun celebratory crowd. Pitching was amazing…just masterful. Jose going yard is a memory. And no barking.
