Also before Virginia starts making hay of the fact that their pass rate is higher than normal, let’s be completely clear that it is because applicants who felt that they couldn’t pass under the extremely unfair circumstances we were placed in dropped out or deferred.

I failed in 2018- if you failed and want to reach out I am happy to chat! I wouldn’t have made it without my “fail buddies” and hope to provide support to those who need it.

Did you have tech problems during the #barexam? If so I'd like to hear about your experiences. #barexamstories

ATTN Bar Examinees: We heard several times throughout the day that examinees have been told by ExamSoft reps to withdraw and take the exam in Feb. Bar Examiners seem not to be aware that ExamSoft is telling people this. PLEASE DO NOT WITHDRAW WITHOUT TALKING TO YOUR BAR EXAMINERS

“The Washington, D.C., Bar exam website had a bug that exposed applicants' sensitive information, including government-issued identification, according to tech news website TechCrunch.”

We're not out of the fight yet. We're so close to diploma privilege for all. Ask your law school and your future employer to fight with you. We're not giving up—we can still win this!

❤️❤️ SAVE THE DATE ❤️❤️
Given the extraordinary stress examinees are under, we will host a bar exam pep talk/wellness seminar with a mental health professional and law professors in support of DP4A on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020 at 5pm PT / 7pm CT/ 8pm ET.
Flyer with details to come!

It's 9:30 at night after the bar and instead of sleeping I am panic contacting my boss about whether we (me and a coworker who also sat today) should be going into work tomorrow after possible Covid exposure

Work: asks for work
Me: “I can Friday, bar is tomorrow have to drive to Richmond”
Work: “ITS IN PERSON!?!?”
Wonder what it’s like to not be concerned with this at all 😇 #vabarexam

One thing I’ll probably always be mad about:
July 27, the day before bar exam, was VA’s second-highest-to-date peak of new COVID cases. August 7, ~1 week post exam, was the highest peak ever.
But we’ll NEVER KNOW if this was bar-related because VBBE didn’t contact trace.

Also I want to mention again that the VA supreme court is under a "Judicial Emergency" through October 11. They have yet to say why hosting the July or September bar in person is safe, but running the courts is not. #vabarexam

I'm gonna get the e-check in email from my hotel before I get the VBBE email at this rate

just waiting for the VBBE to LMK what time and where to show up for the exam that's in less than 2 days. #vabarexam #barexam

VBBE: sends email basically with no info except that lunch contains “sweet treat” and also men don’t have to wear ties. Which was stated more than once. Oh and they’ll tell you 2 days beforehand if you have to get up at 6 am for staggered arrival. #vabarexam

Imagine having to trust a 2L to help you with a major life decision.
There weren’t “too many” lawyers at the pro se bankruptcy clinic I was working at.
As a Hispanic woman—all I want to do is desperately help my community that absolutely needs MORE access to legal aid.

I am opposed to bar exams (don’t measure whether will be a good lawyer) - not sure how you provoke decency to avoid prosecutorial misconduct but I don’t think it is a multiple choice test
“Report of 777 cases of prosecutorial misconduct in California found that just 6 prosecutors were disciplined” Per @washingtonpost
Looks like @StateBarCA’s fault, no?
