George Conway on Trump: “The decline has been constant, but I do think it’s accelerating. He’s always been a narcissistic sociopath, a psychopath. His ego is so sensitive to slights or perceived criticisms. He knows he’s not that smart, he knows he had to cheat to get ahead. If you look at the history of people like Trump, Hitler was a psychopath and a delusional one. All these megalomaniacs throughout history, they become more and more detached from reality and then they get more desperate. This is not good”

A statement by ICBA Chief Economist Jock Finlayson on the 2026 Conservative Party of B.C. platform and costing:
"The costed Conservative platform looks reasonable. It is a balanced plan, recognizing that there is much that affects the B.C. economy which is beyond the government’s control.
"The Conservatives intend to take a gradualist approach to deficit reduction, which makes sense given the depth of the fiscal hole Premier Eby has dug and the fragile state of the economy. An important element of fiscal strategy under a new government will be kick-starting the private sector, which has been languishing over the past several years while the broad public sector has continued to expand. The private sector accounts for at least three quarters of all economic activity – including employment – in British Columbia; it also provides the exports and drives the innovation on which living standards partly depend. Under the NDP, the priority has been increasing the size and reach of the public sector, even as large parts of the business community have been struggling or in outright decline.
"A healthier business climate and a stronger private sector economy will help to address B.C.’s difficult fiscal situation by bolstering economic growth and expanding the tax base."

Imagine if in 1943 FDR had decided that the US would stop helping Britain and instead would side with the Third Reich. That's a bit like what President Trump is now doing by cozying up to Russia as it tries to destroy Ukraine. Utterly shameful. A humiliating moment for the US.

What a striking contrast to the U.S. President who lacks the capacity to think of anyone but himself. Zelensky at war and defending his country's freedom and independence is 1000 times the leader that Trump could ever hope to be.
Every loss of life is a tragedy. Canada has done so much to help us protect lives in Ukraine, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to Prime Minister @MarkJCarney and all Canadians following the explosion and fire at the military base in Wainwright. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those lost, and we wish a swift recovery to the injured.

Good morning and Happy Monday to everyone who agrees that Kamala Harris was absolutely 100% right about trump's intention to betray Ukraine, out of his weakness and his pathetic need to be accepted by Putin.
His capitulation to Russia is a DISGRACE.

My heart is with the families of Sgt. Morgan Wong, Pte. Shaun Farrell, Pte. Aidan Goulding and Pte. Hayden Lykkemark, who were tragically lost at CFB Wainwright. These young men, two of whom were from BC, served their nation with courage and distinction.
My thoughts are also with everyone who was injured, their loved ones, and all the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces who are grieving the loss of their comrades today. We are praying for all those struggling in hospital today. British Columbia stands with you.

Jesus was mentioned 1,000 times in the bible.
Donald Trump is mentioned 38,000 times in the Epstein Files.

You know how you can tell people who are still wilfully denying reality? They're telling you Trump has recently changed course, become more pro-Russian, or pivoted against Ukraine.
This is nonsense. Trump has been with Putin throughout. Its just the press failed to see it.

Why are we having this snap election in BC at a cost of over $80million. Money that could have been used far more efficiently on meaningful projects?
Eby saw an opportunity. The BC Conservatives were in a disarray, and he thought this was a good time to strike while the iron was hot. Kick them while they down. It’s not turning out the way he had hoped and now he and his party are desperate. They can’t campaign on anything that they have done to make BC a better place. We all know that . So their campaign is run on vilifying their opponents. Calling out individuals, yet within their party they too have candidates that are very questionable? Including Eby. He first blamed Trump, then the constituents, and now is asking the Green Party to align with him . We all know how badly he has governed and the province is a mess.
It is time for a change. As the saying goes Change is good. The BCNDP can’t even run a campaign on their achievements for the past nine years because there is none.

The Editorial Board at Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal:
“President Trump’s assistance to Vladimir Putin keeps growing by the day, and in the latest example he stuck a shiv in the back of the legacy of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham.”
“When the election is over there needs to be a bipartisan reckoning for Mr. Trump’s budding alliance with the Kremlin against Ukraine, Europe and American interests.”
________
It’s good to see the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board stand up for Lindsey Graham when his sister Darline is too cowardly to stand up for the brother that raised her. There were a lot of things that I disagreed with Lindsey Graham on, but I totally agreed with his resolute support for Ukraine.
Trump wants you to believe that Ukraine is the cause of our high fuel prices and that Russia is the innocent victim of Ukrainian aggression. That’s the equivalent of blaming you if an armed intruder broke into your house, murdered members of your family, and refuses to stop murdering unless you deeded him your living room.
Maybe someday we’ll know the reason for Trump’s subservience to Vladimir Putin. His waiver of sanctions and diesel fuel deal is another indication that there’s something nefarious behind it.
Trump says his deal with Putin is in America’s national interest. Really? Remember Trump saying about our neighbor Canada, “we don't need their oil and gas?” So, it’s shun our ally Canada and embrace an adversary who wants to destroy western democracy? Try to find a sensible explanation that makes sense of that.
Trump’s embrace of Vladimir Putin is a clear and present danger to America’s national security and national interests. It’s tragic that the Republicans in Congress choose to stay down on their knees in total submission to their king at a time when they should be standing up for the good of the country.

❗️Republican Congressman Fitzpatrick stated that this week he will hold talks with President Zelenskyy regarding Starshield, sanctions, and support for Ukraine, warning that any restriction on Starshield for Ukraine will result in investigations, congressional hearings, and budget cuts. He emphasized that Congress confirms Ukraine as an indispensable ally and Russia as an enemy, and demands full military support for Ukraine, tougher sanctions, and a complete ban on Russian oil imports, which will be approved by the House of Representatives.

400 Crown land parcels. Confidential documents. NDAs forced on forest companies. Plans to strip logging rights with little or no compensation. All hidden before the election.
I signed 435 agreements with First Nations as minister. More than anyone in modern Canadian history. We engaged communities and landowners first. We protected private property. We got projects done instead of shortchanging forestry families.
This Saturday let’s send this government a message.
