Ever try to code a website without DevTools? Ugh! Being able to see the DOM tree (the HTML) & the CSS cascade is a huge help. We've been wrangling Accessibility without any such tool — until now. Here's a tour of the Firefox Accessibility Inspector: 📺 youtu.be/7mqqgIxX_NU

"There's open disdain for CSS and HTML which make websites possible... ...This attitude has lead to a sole preference for JavaScript, which has created a brittle, slow, and inaccessible web that is failing to serve the public the way it should." jeremy.codes/blog/defining-p…

This industry needs to embrace the new generation of self-taught designers/coders who have little work experience but a ton of passion and growth. If you’re hiring early designers/coders, please reply to this thread.

Was working with a developer last week and we were debugging some CSS. I had them create a test class: .test Then I asked them to make it so it applied to all paragraphs inside a div with that class. They didn’t know how to do it. They’ve been a dev for 10+ years.

Epic UX fail. Can you spot how many times the word cancel appears in this dialog box? How do I cancel again?🤔

Feeling nostalgic. Found my Brooklyn Beta web conference year book cleaning my house. This was one of the best conferences I attended. #brooklynbeta

Funny how a lot of folks including die hard Android and Apple users criticized Apple for the camera notch and here comes pixel 3 similar notch. Group think?🤔
I don't know too many of us who could survive the "crying while talking about how much you love beer" portion of the interview and still get the job.

I wonder how many people hate CSS because their experience with it is overriding bootstrap. In completely unrelated news, guess what I'm doing today.

A few months ago, I was frustrated at not being able to attend developer events because of visa challenges. Some really awesome engineers from Microsoft came up with an idea that can help build learning bridges for Africans #thread

Booking.com App total UX fail. When a button to call customer care doesn’t show actual number and unknowingly dials a UK number from US resulting in $80 talk charge. Luckily T-mobile was gracious to waive charge.

Fun new anti-pattern: 1. Sign up for new service. 2. Start using it (or don't). 3. Receive daily emails from somebody at the service named Nick or Zach or something asking "how's it going?" "hey how are you liking it so far?" "hey can we help you get started?"
