My latest adventure onto the continent. More of the Strasbourg 67400s, as well as the Zurich LION 420s and plenty of Nez Casses across Chambery and the Riviera.

Earlier this month saw 37275 make a few trips on the Dartmouth Steam Railway between Paignton and Kingswear. A rare outing for such a fine beast!

A real blast from the past this morning. 1st September 2014, 379007 and an unidentified classmate make their way through Wickford on a working from Southend back to the GEML. Presumably this was a test run of some sort, but I have no information whatsoever.

The former Greater Anglia 321s seem to be back in the spotlight, with Varamis Rail returning to the network after a period with no operations. I really do miss these trains on the GEML, the last workings (under their own power) were all the way back in March 2024.

The new Alstom Adessia Stream trains seem pretty good, and look to be well suited to the semi-fast regional workings across the trans pennine. They seem like something closer to a Coradia than what we have in the UK already.

EPB preservation group 2-EPB 5759 and MLVs 9001 & 9002 at the Bluebell railway diesel gala. For most of the gala they were paired with resident E3040 and visiting GBRf 73128, with the exception of a few runs when the MLVs were given a chance to run under their own battery power.
