The way americans talk about France like its a damsel in distress is so fucking funny. Have any of you ever met any French people? They are disgusting

The thing is it’s legit to hate AI for many good reasons, but this kind of thing just makes you look stupid to anyone who’s actually using it, which very soon will be almost everyone
AI is literally a scam, the most sophisticated scam ever. They created a machine that mimics the output of intelligence. Then told everyone it was really intelligent — an impossibility, but the illusion was convincing. Based on that deception, they fleeced investors of trillions.

Back on this app and in a week ready to do a jihad on the tech sector again
Demoralized, longhoused institutional slop - they hate beauty, competence anything that would uplift the human spirit and inspire someone to greatness. We badly need new institutions, nearly all our current ones are vulgar, depressed and self-loathing. They hate you

Absolutely embarrassing corruption and lack of professional standards here, just shamelessly out for the bag. This person is not a journalist and will add zero value to tech coverage.
As a tech journalist, my inbox is a MESS. I receive thousands of emails every day, and more and more of them are written by AI. Now @pangram has launched an awesome new plugin for Gmail that identifies AI slop.  Pangram scans my messages and labels every incoming Gmail message as AI, Mixed, or Human, right inside my inbox.  Pangram never retains your emails or data and this new Gmail plugin has been a godsend!! Get one month free and test out Pangram's Gmail integration by using code TAYLOR-GMAILSLOP. 👇

Really obvious that the culture became less pro journalist and she is desperate to stay relevant and make money, the truest embodiment of millennial reporters here, just narcissism all the way through

I think this website is going to prove as bad and probably worse for tech and centrist academics as it did for journalists and leftist academics in the 2010s

this is the funniest part of this whole thing to me. the calculation seems to be, risk the human species to... make flight reservations harder and lose your job?
Unpopular opinion: AI companies are pushing society to accept an unacceptable level of risk for a non-essential technology.

When all this is over and done with this era is rightly going to look like one of total mass delusion, worse than anything in the history of capitalism. Believing that this chart will hold is much, much more unhinged than believing in the rapture.
The “Is AI a bubble?” narrative has cooled off a bit in 2026—partly bc of AI revenue growth in the age of agents, and partly because the discourse puck has moved to AI safety. But the emerging consensus that new AI revenue earned by the hyperscalers will have to approach $3 trillion annually by the end of the decade is still unbelievably daunting.

Notice how with every hype cycle, it's the experts in the corresponding field who are questioning the validity and importance of overly exaggerated results by AI labs. A consistent pattern it seems.
I work in CRISPR discovery research. This is one of the most exaggerated nothing-burgers ever and would be laughed out of the room if a human scientist attempted to publish something like this. (cont.)

My defense against being replaced by AI is to be illogical.

You shouldn’t turn to the AP style guide for your takes about AI consciousness, agency, reasoning ability, or anthropomorphism. You should turn to the controversial philosophers on those subject whose views I subscribe to.

The way that the rise of AI is enabling every academic on earth to call themselves an expert because they studied philosophy or bioethics or whatever is the worst part of this moment by far

AI “expert” who was writing about chimps until last year. Theres so much of this right now! We dont need to hear more from academia! xitter.cf/jeffrsebo/status/21033…

If you are discussing AI and use the word conscious or consciousness, please define it. Also, please acknowledge that neither neuroscience nor philosophy has been able to define it.

“It solved navier stokes. Never thought id see the day” - people who never heard of navier stokes before wednesday
In yet another sign of AI’s surging dominance over human minds, OpenAI recently claimed to solve one of math’s biggest questions: the Navier-Stokes problem. But now three mathematicians have showed OpenAI’s work dodges the question rather than solving it. spklr.io/6011ETxdU
