This week @dorco8 and @EBukchin's webinar left such an impression on me that I ended up writing a blog about :P If you missed the webinar (or prefer text over video) and want to learn how @mondaydotcom runs its agent evals read the blog here: metalbear.com/blog/monday-agโ€ฆ

When a new model comes out, switching to it can feel like the obvious move. In practice, we first want to understand whether itโ€™s actually better for our use cases. A new model can look better on benchmarks and still perform worse for a specific use case, behave differently in unexpected ways, be slower, or simply cost more without delivering enough additional value. Thatโ€™s why we treat model upgrades like any other release: compare against whatโ€™s already running in production, roll out gradually, and measure quality, latency, cost, and real-world behavior. What really matters is the ability to test new models on real use cases, understand the trade-offs, and then decide where each model actually makes sense. A short clip from my conversation on the @mondaydotcom podcast about how we think about and build AI infrastructure in production.

Picture this: you're mid-conversation in Claude, deep in some daily chaos. You ask it to pull real context from monday.com, where your work already lives. It does. Now here's the part that matters: you ask it to build a live, working app your whole team can use - and it does. Not a mockup. A real, connected app, shared with your team instantly, governed like everything else on monday. Fully connected apps, built from wherever you already are.

What happens when the most powerful LLM in the world disappears within 72 hours? (And why AI infra engineers shouldn't sleep too comfortably at night) This week, I planned to write a post about how we evaluated the integration of the new @claudeai Mythos Class models within @mondaydotcomโ€™s AI infrastructure. Instead, recent events delivered an interesting lesson: the growing tension between AI, regulation, and infrastructure resilience. For anyone building AI-powered products, three infra lessons stand out: 1. Automatic fallback is no longer a "nice-to-have": An LLM Gateway architecture capable of dynamically and robustly routing traffic between different providers and models (e.g., from Fable to Opus or GPT) is no longer an architectural luxury. It is the exact line between happy customers and a Tier-1 incident caused by a regulatory decision on the other side of the globe. If one model vanishes, your system must pivot seamlessly in milliseconds. 2. The case for open models keeps getting stronger Proprietary, closed-source models offer state-of-the-art capabilities, but they come with significant geopolitical and vendor-dependency risks. Companies investing in hosting open-source models gain an important layer of strategic independence, even if that comes with tradeoffs in quality, operational complexity, and cost. 3. Safety is now part of your infrastructure stack To appease regulators, Anthropic introduced a system that scans the context window in real-time. The moment it detects an abuse attempt (like cyber weapon development), it "freezes" the powerful model (Fable) and seamlessly downgrades the user to a safer, weaker model (Opus). They also forced users to waive the standard Zero Data Retention (ZDR) policy to store data for 30 days. Yet, the government deemed it insufficient and shut it down anyway. Safety can no longer be delegated entirely to model providers. Input sanitization, prompt injection protection, PII scrubbing, policy enforcement, and context filtering increasingly need to live inside your own infrastructure. The more critical AI becomes to your business, the less you can rely on third parties as your only line of defense. Anyone who thinks building AI infrastructure is just about calling the fastest or cheapest API got a brutal lesson this week. Resilience, abstraction, and proactive risk management are the real tools in our engineering toolkit. Would your architecture survive losing its primary model tomorrow? @mondaycom_eng

30 seconds of a monday agent being your teammate: Assign it, it reads the thread, it gets things DONE. That's it. Just your new teammate, doing teammate things.

BYOA - Bring Your Own Agent directly into your everyday workflows on @mondaydotcom. ๐Ÿš€ Check out the video to see @claudeai Managed Agents in action.
You can bring external agents to work inside monday.com. The brain lives wherever you built it; the work happens on monday. In this video, we bring in a Claude Managed Agent - set it up, then put it to work. Assign it or mention it - just two of the ways to set it off. It updates statuses, answers from your board data, and only acts within the permissions you've given it.

Say hello to @claudeai Fable 5 on monday.com ๐ŸŽ‰ Anthropic's most capable model yet for autonomous work and coding is now one of the models available across products like monday agents and monday vibe. We've been testing it ahead of launch, and we're glad to bring it to you. Rolling out gradually, reaching more accounts over the coming days and weeks.
