Here was the full Seedance 2.5 prompt for the video above: SCENE CONTEXT An imperial Roman chamber after a feast. Emperor Claudius sits on the edge of a couch, extending a gold drinking cup toward his food taster. The young man waits at the doorway. The emperor summons him through eye contact and the offered cup. The taster understands, hesitates, then approaches. The sequence ends with the cup still in the emperor’s hand, before the taster accepts or drinks. ACTIVE REFERENCES @ image1 — Emperor full-body front. Identity, build, ivory toga with purple and gold trim, sandals, gold laurel crown, and jewellery. @ image2 — Emperor left profile. Nose, chin, neck, hairline, and crown placement. @ image3 — Emperor three-quarter. Facial identity, eyes, cheeks, thinning grey hair, and gold shoulder brooch. All three references describe ONE emperor. @ image4 — Taster full-body front. Identity, lean adult build, cream tunic, brown belt, and sandals. @ image5 — Taster left profile. Nose, brow, jaw, ear, and short dark hair. @ image6 — Taster three-quarter. Facial identity, eyes, skin texture, and facial proportions. All three references describe ONE taster. @ image7 — Chamber reference. Architecture, couch, reclining guests, doorway, floor dressing, lighting direction, and wide composition. Character references establish appearance. The chamber reference establishes the setting. The written instructions establish performance and movement. LOCATION AND BLOCKING Emperor seated on the LEFT, taster standing at the doorway on the RIGHT. A stretch of stone floor separates them. Behind the emperor, adult guests recline beneath burgundy and gold textiles. Overturned vessels, scattered food, petals, and spilled wine remain on the floor. Daylight enters through the doorway, crossing diagonally into the dark chamber. Tall fluted columns divide the background. The emperor holds ONE gold cup upright in his extended RIGHT HAND. The taster approaches from right to left through the available floor space. Maintain connecting eyelines and consistent screen direction across all cuts. FOUR SHOTS, 12 SECONDS TOTAL SHOT ONE — 0.0–3.0 SECONDS CLOSE-UP ON THE TASTER. 29° portrait field of view. Head and shoulders beside the doorway. Daylight catches his right ear and the edge of his head; the side facing the chamber remains shaded. He senses the emperor’s attention. His EYES move toward screen left first. His HEAD follows by a small amount. His shoulders remain settled. His gaze finds the emperor. His lower eyelids tighten slightly. His lips part for a quiet breath, then settle. His jaw firms as he understands the instruction. Hold on that recognition. PERFORMANCE ORDER: EYES SHIFT → HEAD FOLLOWS → GAZE SETTLES → BREATH CHANGES. The hesitation is brief and private. He is accustomed to obeying, but still needs a moment to prepare himself. 3.0 SECONDS — HARD CUT. SHOT TWO — 3.0–5.5 SECONDS OVER THE EMPEROR’S SHOULDER, ALONG HIS EXTENDED ARM. 29° field of view. The emperor’s head, laurel crown, shoulder, and toga occupy the left foreground. His arm leads toward the gold cup near the centre. The taster stands beyond the cup in the bright doorway. Focus favours the cup and the hand holding it. The taster remains recognisable but softened by depth and backlight. The emperor’s arm is ALREADY EXTENDED when the shot begins He waits. His fingers maintain their grip. Small adjustments in his wrist convey the vessel’s weight. The gold rim catches daylight. His breathing moves the toga faintly at his shoulder. The taster watches from the threshold. Let the held gesture communicate the command. The emperor expects the distance between them to be crossed for him. 5.5 SECONDS — HARD CUT. SHOT THREE — 5.5–9.0 SECONDS WIDE VIEW OF THE CHAMBER. 63° field of view. Match the spatial arrangement of @ image7: emperor left, taster right, cup extended between them, daylight crossing the room. Hold briefly at the threshold. The taster shifts his weight and begins walking toward the emperor, moving RIGHT TO LEFT at approximately 2 km/h. Each planted foot accepts his weight before the next step. His arms move slightly at his sides. The tunic shifts around his thighs while the belt stays at his waist. He follows the available path between the scattered objects. His attention stays on the emperor and cup. As he leaves the doorway, his face moves into shade while his shoulder and tunic retain an edge of daylight. The emperor remains seated, arm extended, eyes following him. The guests behind the emperor remain at rest. Subtle breathing keeps them present in the background. The camera holds its position. The taster’s approach supplies the movement. Cut while he is still approaching. 9.0 SECONDS — HARD CUT SHOT FOUR — 9.0–12.0 SECONDS CLOSE-UP ON THE EMPEROR. 18° portrait field of view. His face occupies the left and centre. His hand and gold cup remain extended in the nearer right foreground, slightly out of focus. His eyes look upward toward screen right, following the approaching taster. The pupils move first. His chin follows by a fraction. The corners of his mouth gather into a faint suggestion of satisfaction. He has received the response he expected. As the taster approaches the light path, a soft shadow passes across part of the emperor’s face. Reflected light keeps his eyes readable. Hold his raised eyeline and the offered cup through the ending. PERFORMANCE LOCK: EYES FOLLOW THE APPROACH → CHIN LIFTS SLIGHTLY → EXPRESSION SETTLES → CUP REMAINS OFFERED. LIGHTING AND MATERIALS Daylight from the right-hand doorway remains the dominant source. Approximately 5600K white balance. Cool light describes the stone and suspended dust; gold surfaces return warmer reflections. Preserve detail in shaded faces and fabric. The emperor’s toga has heavy folds. The taster’s linen moves with his steps. Sandals make grounded contact with stone. The cup retains its shape, size, engraving, and upright position. Floor objects stay in place. STYLE AND AUDIO Photoreal period drama. Natural skin texture, woven cloth, worn stone, fine grain, gentle highlight roll-off. Restrained performances and steady camera work. 12 seconds, 24 fps, approximately 2.35:1. Real-time movement. Hard cuts at 3.0, 5.5, and 9.0 seconds. Soundtrack consists entirely of diegetic ambience and foley. Both characters communicate silently. FINAL CONTINUITY LOCK Same two characters, same chamber, same costumes, same light source. Emperor seated throughout. One cup in his right hand throughout.

In animation: Don’t over-direct Seedance 2.5. Explain the intent: “He suspects the drink is poisoned but can’t let the emperor notice.” Let the agent turn that into different prompts with different shot sequences. Then look through each sequence and pick the best cuts.

Most AI workflows iterate on images too much. This makes images look worse and creates terrible animations. If you need to image edit, you should ask your agent to translate the image to a prompt and regen with character refs.

Extra tip: With Seedance 2.5 accepting 30 images per prompt, make sure to create a full image for each character's angle. It's more comprehensive than putting all the angles into 1 image. 1. Full-body front 2. Left profile 3. Three-quarter portrait

Here were the image refs I used. I'm limited to 4 images per post but you get the idea. It's just the frame you want with angles of each character.

One of the biggest issues with most AI workflows is that they iterate too much on images. This makes their images look worse and creates terrible animations. When regenerating an image, we only use original character refs. The agent rewrites the prompt and generates without using the previous shot as a reference.
